UI Resolution is off (blurry)

Recommended Posts

Hey,

all of a sudden my UI resolution doesn't match my monitors native resolution anymore. I've tried fixing it by changing it in the setting, changing it through the cfg file, reinstalling the game etc. I've tried numerous fixes I was able to find online, but none work. I've checked out this thread http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/203970-resolution-problems-read-here-before-posting/

But that also doesn't help. It's like the game is lying to me about which UI resolution it's using....I can't seem to fix it :( Any ideas? Is this a new resolution bug related with .48?

Did not help :(

oh that blows - that's my go to for video problems too.

hopefully someone else will come along soon with better info

edit: it occurs to me that you may have to reinstall the game and then try changing some of the settings

Do both resolution and rendering resolutions match? One is in user interface, the other is in video settings. If that fails, follow the steps in this video, apparently there is a bug if you mess with Overall Quality setting so you need to delete the config file first.

Tried it numerous times, also did not work :( I'm afraid I just have to wait for 0.49 and see if that magically fixes it...

Edit: Things got worse. Started up CS:S, resolution was stuck at 720*something at 16:10 ratio. Closed the game, could not change my deskytop resolution to native 1920x1080.

Rebooted, reset my dekstops resolution. Started DayZ, which now CTDs when I change any settings. Can't seem to fix...

Could be caused by my GPU? Got a AMD Radeon HD 5800

Try running on integrated graphics to see if your card is the cause of the problem.

Could be you driver..did you update you driver recently ? If so try a rollback to your older driver.

I haven't :( I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers to see if that works...

After reinstalling the game, the update of .49 etc, the game crashes when I try to change any video settings -_-

Looks like the game is broken for me, hopefully until they replace the renderer of the engine
