    How was your Day(Z)?

I have some time to play again recently :) Traveled the coast from east to the South.. Ran into a guy, he ignored me.... Ran into another guy, he claimed my mic wasnt working, had a little chat conversation... He said my mic plug might not be connected properly... I typed: "ok let me crawl under my desk for a sec" ... I see if he takes the bait, he does and charges at me with his fists raised... I raise my CR75 and fire 3 shots, he drops like a potato... Mistake buddy :) I proceed into Electro, down the coast. Notice some Zombie aggro on opposite docks... There's a newspawn standing there, not moving. I take out 2 zombies and I meet him.. He thanks me and was superglad what was going on when the shots were at the zombies instead of him. I give him some food and my favorite (red) sweater. We decide to travel to Balota to meet up with his friends. I hear him chat on TS in game, but he and his friends are swedish. I can make out the words: "Mosin" and "Long Range Scope" , which is part of my setup... I ask him if he's on Skype with his friends and if he can warn them that I've joined him, so they don't shoot me. He says he hasn't spoken with him yet, clearly he's lying and things feel fishy. I hold him up, demand my sweater back and leave. Heading towards Balota myself, I spot him again in Cherno appartments. He's pretty well kitted by now, but I'm sure it's him (he still wears the red armband I gave him as well) and his friend is there as well... They both have guns out whilst looting... I decide to watch them for a while, before carrying on. Arriving in Balota (city) I hear some mosin/AK fire towards the airfield / appartments. I decide to leave after a bit traveling further down the coast and eventually inland.... Short & quick written summary... But 450 hrs of gameplay and I realize I'm still enjoying this game so - friggin - much :D

    Taking on the bandit role.

"bandit" :') Yea... okay... KoS d-bag is more like it. People who try to hold people up and take some of their stuff? Great! Requires more skill then trying to get friendly interactions. Shooting at anything that moves? Pathetic and ridiculously easy

    Help me I'm stuck!

Keep trying to run/sprint and vault? Or give up :) Also: "but I really don't want to lose my gear" You don't own gear in DayZ, don't get attached ;)

    Is the AUG worth finding?

Found one roughly 15 min after I decided I wanted to find an Aug sometime... Don't really like it how it is now with the scope and all.. Only had a 10 rnd mag with it and lost it by now :D

    Hey... You friendly?

Thanks bro, FNX was just an example, when I get the oppertunity I always carry a sawn-off with me. Did not know about the double sawn off :) And you're absolutely right about making a decision quick in those cases! I usually take my time when I'm outsite a town, looking over it for example. But when you mean some sketchy dude who might have a friend around the corner, just stop the conversation and bail.

    A few little Suggestions

Stats are being worked on and will eventually be implemented :) No. This would be fighting the symptoms instead of the cause. Also with .53 there's been a huge success in the fight against hackers. A new inventory system is on its way, this might include fixing whatever issues people are having at the moment. I never have any issues with my inventory personally. Again fighting symptoms instead of the cause. Vehicles are still heavily a work in progress, so expect issues with them. Might also be fixed with the new inventory system? Not sure Loot spawns & loot tables are still a heavily work in progress. I think these are more complaints of known bugs then suggestions really... I think most of these issues will be solved this year.

    Hey... You friendly?

It is beyond me that so many people still play this stupid. Especially people who KoS, because they only get KOS'd, but meanwhile complain and hope that some day they have a friendly encounter :P You're part of the problem I have loads and loads and LOADS of friendly encounters. There's a few things you guys should consider and that will help you when you seek friendly interactions: Before you make contact: Spot them before they spot you, take your time, track them a little bit and watch how they behave. Check if there's just one guy, or if there's more of them. What gear do they have and do they have their weapons out? See which way they are traveling, often you can spot buildings in their path which they will highly likely loot, these are ideal spots to catch them off guard, allowing you to take the upper hand. When you make contact: When you make contact, just start talking how you would be doing irl. "HEY YOU FRIENDLY?!" makes no sense whatsoever.... Just engage in a conversation, chat a bit and take the edge of. The more someone uses the word 'friendly', the more on edge you should be. If someone doesn't talk or takes very long to reply, he's not busy with you, but with something or someone else. This is bad, time to bail. Play dumb, if you saw that he's with someone else, ask if he's alone. Why would someone lie about this? Don't ever let yourself get trapped between 2 people. If people keep moving around you and it feels sketchy it probably is. Don't hesitate to ask if they can put their weapon on their back, I personally approach people with my weapon on my back usually. Don't get comfy when you decide to travel together, keep your eyes on your new 'friend' constantly. If you have serious doubts whether someone is friendly or not, say a guy scoping out a city with his mosin, approach behind him. I walk upto him weapon raised and a very clear: "Don't turn around, DO NOT turn around and we'll be good" After that I'd make him disarm, if I have handcuffs I might use those for security reasons..When you break contact: If it's a friendly ending, you can just run off, keeping your eyes on the guy. Still be prepared to go for cover when he pulls something out. I personally try to break visual contact quickly and make some distance before taking a sec to catch my breath, redo my inventory etc... If it's hostile: completely depending on the situation. Sometimes I don't visually carry a fire-arm, but have something nice up my sleeve... People tend to go blind and feel like nothing can harm them when a seemingly unarmed bambi runs into a building... Little do they know I'm waiting around the corner with my FNX out :D

    Impressed

Nice to see that you're enjoying the game and its progress :) I can imagine how it's a bit hard and harsh to survive when you're not used to the current game / environment mechanics. However, I never have any issues surviving as a fresh spawn, maybe you just have to keep trying / evaluating your strategy. Also, don't forget that the game is supposed to be a bit hard/harsh ;)

    Hostages! (banditing the real way)

Thought this was an interesting video, with actual banditry, then you start beating and execution a harmless handcuffed guy... Well played -_- weak

    Time Alive

Your post has a lot of ignorance / lies in it... "you all know it's true" for example.... You're projection your opinion as the absolute truth here.... But I do see your point, you want to see stats, to make the player more aware of what he/she has achieved in his/her lifetime. I'd like to see stuff like "time alive" too, and I think this has actually been announced as a feature a long time ago. I think it was in one of the dev blogs where someone said that stats will be implemented. What I strongly oppose to, however, is making these stats (partially) public, let alone share server-information of my character. I am playing the game, and no-one knows anything about me, until they see, hear, or talk to me. And even then they still know very little, it's one of the things that makes Dayz Dayz in my opinion.

    2014 Roadmap

I suggest that you try to realize that things, planning, focus and milestones continuously change in large projects, such as the development of a game.

    Fade away..

Loved to see you struggle, was hoping that you'd make it and recover, but actually liked that you showed how things can go bad as well. Also: hardcore server, nice :)
