epyionic 29 Posted September 6, 2014 Okay so of my last 2 trips to the NWAF within the week I have come across a heli crash each time. I know 3 of 75 random spots are selected server side per reboot, but does it have a better chance of airfield spawns ? Both times they have seemed to be unlooted as well ; so am i just extremely lucky or is his hardcoded into the game ? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Going on a trip of the west side of the map i tend to find them at the two airfields more often than in the other spawns. I often log in and just recon the airfield and its surroundings from a distance with my binoculars and rifle scope. In the last 10-15 times I've done that I've seen a crashed heli there only once. MaxTheSurvivor 152 Posted September 7, 2014 Last week I found 3 in 3 days all un-looted, 1st one was a bit north of the NWAF but the 2nd was far south near the edge of the badlands in a glade far west of Zelenogorsk and the 3rd one was just in the fields west of the Military base south of NWAF. I think the respawn locations are random but probably with higher chances near military facilities. Anyway, those who need to loot some helis know what has to be done; move their asses instead of camping Berezino like a retarded moron. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

There's not really a greater likelihood of a spawn near a military facility (some of the locations are so far west they're near the debug fields), but four of them are on the NWAF runway and another four are on the Balota runway. The OP was relatively lucky. There is a 4.5% probability of a crash spawn at anyone of the locations, and the runways just improve the odds by having four in a line. When you get to green mountain head west down the dirt road to the pass, cross the road west up the hills then south just west of Zelenograd and keep south to the coast then east to balota.
