roguetrooper 201 Posted September 3, 2014 Does weight has an influence on max speed and stamina/fatigue? Has anyone tested it in detail yet? Do items have a weight yet? IMO, carrying a handgun only, a few according magazines and some food and drinks should give you a clear advantage concerning max speed, stamina and the need for food in comparison to a fully equipped character with 100 filled inventory slots and a big rifle. blacklabel79 949 Posted September 3, 2014 (edited) Sadly tho the amouth of stuff your carry around dosent have a effect...as of yet. The only Thing that Comes to mind is that, with a shouldered rifle you are a Little noiser. Everytime i start to downgrade after we all found the precious millgear my Folks just *sigh* "why whould you want a smaller pack ?" "Why you Change back to Jeans and hoddie, we all have TTKSO shit" stuff like that. For me personaly its a challange to downsize again since, lets be frank here, 90% of the shit we hoard and carry around probably will never be used/fired/thrown/vomited on anyways before the "you are dead" strikes. BUT ist a good exercice for what might come later... *besides...your silouete is much much smaller if you downsize to say, a crafted bag... I HOPE they will introduce a more elaborated Stamina/fatigue System. Havent read much about it recently but i guess it will come somewhere down the line. ( again probably sparking alot of whining from the *for the lack of a better word* "casual" crowd ) Edited September 3, 2014 by {Core}BlackLabel

Capo 323 Posted September 3, 2014 (edited) Civi's are way more fun to wear than all the mil crap, and let's face it, currently the right colors in civi's works just as well for camo. Also running low gear is great, you feel lean, clean and mean, kind of like that post enema feeling. Edited September 3, 2014 by Capo

Not currently, hopefully that will change as things like persistent storage are ironed out because you won't have to carry everything you need on you. In 0.49 we're already at the point where heavy clothing can make you overheat, so I can't see why weight won't be coming as well. For now smaller packs and whatnot make you harder to spot, as well as less of a target. If I see someone in a mountain pack at military bases and whatnot my first thought is "loot goblins", followed shorty by "engage". Plus being downgraded is a fun little challenge to keep yourself interested. I recently started running with the Smersh backpack just to try it out. svisketyggeren 662 Posted September 6, 2014 (edited) I really hope in the future that they make traveling more realistic. U should run slower in the forest compared to running on asphalt....introduces interesting gameplay choices, risk running out in the open at a faster speed, or travel slower and hidden through the forest. And ofc heavier gear should weigh u down. Edited September 6, 2014 by svisketyggeren
