0.49 will be uselesss. Who using survival part of this game ? Everybody doing server hop and then p.v.p berezino. Unless devs force people to survive this will never end Server hop 100 times- gear up- p.v.p berezino same shits.

 

What wıll happen in future. You wıll build your base or camp whatever its. Clans will continue to do server hopping half of day then they wıll have only misson to destroy your base or camp. Then you wıll ask yourself am I stupid to build base and survive while they gearing up easly via server hopping. They will get helicopter and search camps whole day and destroy them. Then game will be pretty useless and everybody will look another game.

 

İf I want to p.v.p I would go play Insurgency instead of spending whole day for server hopping. But there is really mentally sick people who spending half or all of day with server hop just for p.v.p in dayz. Thats completely stupidity.

i just stay out of cities. i use the survival elements, until i run out of rags, matches or ammo. i think you would be surprised how many people use the survival side of the game.

Well I tried that too and its just boring this is online game so we should be able to contact with another players. But no everytime when I get in city people there with fully geared with akm,ak101 ect. I also want to get those guns but this taking long time to get and I really getting bored to do server hopping. Yes sometimes I take down fully geared people and got those guns but this is not happening everytime This is really depends on luck to takedown them with chambered sporter. I really wonder devs want to prevent server hoppnig or not ?

there is really no way to stop server hopping. there will always be people jumping from world to world looking for gear, and short of confining people to one server, there is no way to stop it.

FYI, it does not really take a long time to get those guns. head to the north west, search it thoroughly, then hit up the two military camps on your way to balota, and i guarantee you will find one, if not both, and a heli crash if you are lucky.

There are ways to stop excessive server hopping though. There are even ways to stop server hopping completely but those would probably cause more damage than use. But please stop stating that "there is no way to stop server hopping" - its wrong, not at all constructive and might even sound like a justification. Server hopping itself (meaning switching from one server to another to look for gear) isn't even the problem - its how fast and easy it is right now. Attach a cost and it will be harder, making the use of ingame routes more attractive.

 

But the real issue with survival is the unfinished loot system:

• there should be less loot in general
• loot should spawn away from players on the same server
• higher population servers should have a higher loot spawn rate than lower population servers (with empty servers getting "frozen")
• there should be more effects that require you to look for (quality) supplies (like sickness, gear wearing down etc.)
• (maybe) a reduction in stomach capacity would cause players to look for food more often (instead of stuffing themselves once and living on for days)

Now I am positive this will be addressed - but its arguably a game balance issue so don't expect it to happen in alpha.

I use survival-part. Many many people like to hunt, craft leather- and improvised backpacks, cook meat, etc.

Not everybody goes server-hopping&==>Berezino

Do these "mentally" sick people harm YOUr gamestyle in any way? Do they limit your fun in DayZ?

Man, everybody who goes to Berezino, Svetlo, novo, Elektro or Cherno is looking for PvP.

Who goes to these places KNOWS he will likely meet PvP-players looking for action. And with PvP you will most likely meet some dupers here and there.

 

If I would have to go NWAF, I know, I will probably land in some PvP-action. And very likely also dupers.

I have to say, server-hoppers and dupers don't limit MY fun in DayZ in any way.

Some people may not have the time to loot and scavenge, so they take the easier way and serverhop.

 

Also the DEVs have stated somewhere some time ago, that they actually "want" serverhop (dunno what was the reason, but they said smth. like this).

And once "global" lootspawn works, server-hopping may not be the easiest way, too.

You have to understand that what's boring for you might not be boring for everyone else. Same applies to what you like.

 

I use the survival aspects of the game (hunting, fishing, crafting, etc.) a lot and really like it. To each his own.
