Ben_uk 24 Posted August 22, 2014 As per title thread really. Taking shelter under large trees should stop you becoming wet/soaked. I guess this would have more benefit when weather and stamina come into play more.
toasted duckie 156 Posted August 22, 2014 I believe it does, in previous version of the alpha there used to be a txt message indicating whether you get wet or not. It would fluctuate in forest ares ("you're getting wet" .. "you're no longer getting wet")...

IkaikaKekai 1957 Posted August 22, 2014 As far as I know (haven't played in a couple of updates) it already does. It gets a bit spammy with the messages when you're running through a forest in the rain. If you just hang out under a tree you'll stay dry however.
Ben_uk 24 Posted August 23, 2014 Hmm, strange. It was pouring down yesterday on a server and I was sat under a big pine, yet was still getting soaked...?
degude 133 Posted August 23, 2014 Hmm, strange. It was pouring down yesterday on a server and I was sat under a big pine, yet was still getting soaked...? You probably were already soaked so then sitting under a tree doesn't really have an effect on you. There is no "getting soaked", either you are soaked or you are getting wet. Getting dry takes a while though.
ebrim 998 Posted August 23, 2014 Having a fire nearby seems to help you get dry faster. This makes me want to try lighting a fire directly under a tree and see how difficult it is with the matches...
