Borges (DayZ) 40 Posted August 21, 2014 That mouse "smoothing" feeling when you aim in with scopes. It's terrible. Please remove it.
gibonez 3633 Posted August 21, 2014 you are imagining things. It is 1:1 when you have scopes on.
Jo0Lz 4 Posted August 21, 2014 Feeling? Or graphical? The mouse input is the same down the scope, might be in your settings... I've disabled mouse smoothing all together.
kichilron 8550 Posted August 21, 2014 If you actually want something changed legitimately, please do elaborate. Just demanding it should be removed will not do anything, as you're not giving anyone a reason as to why.
Borges (DayZ) 40 Posted August 22, 2014 (edited) you are imagining things. It is 1:1 when you have scopes on. It appears it's only on the long ranged scope. http://dayz.gamepedia.com/Long_Range_Scope Try it, they're pretty hard to find though. The other scopes are 1:1. If you actually want something changed legitimately, please do elaborate. The long range scope should be set to 1:1 like the other scopes, as its current state is a scope on ice skates. When you stop moving your mouse, your gun continues to move (not scope sway), causing your aim to slide around. Edited August 22, 2014 by Borges
Bororm 1156 Posted August 22, 2014 Never experienced this.
hothtimeblues 128 Posted August 22, 2014 Are you sure its intentional and not just bad, clunky design that like many things has just not been improved yet? All the controls and graphics of the SA so far are slow and clunky. Everything is awkward.
Borges (DayZ) 40 Posted August 22, 2014 (edited) It probably is clunky design that hasn't been improved yet. I'm just throwing it out there. It's the only scope that adds magical mouse smoothing to your weapon.. Edited August 22, 2014 by Borges
Jo0Lz 4 Posted August 22, 2014 I have not experienced this, maybe it's your aiming deadzone setting? I don't know what to say, other than I never have any issues with it. Is there some video explaining what it is?
scriptfactory 620 Posted August 22, 2014 Pretty sure he is talking about the dexterity system.
Borges (DayZ) 40 Posted August 22, 2014 My smoothing and deadzone are set to 0. I currently do not have the scope so I can't post a vid. I will keep my eyes open.
Borges (DayZ) 40 Posted August 22, 2014 (edited) It's negative mouse acceleration that was occurring only when I zoomed in. When I zoomed out/another weapon it was fine. Here's a video of what it looks like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2uC9ZVbd6U. Both the gun and scope were in pristine condition. wingman.edu 55 Posted August 22, 2014 That video doesn't show anything... My guess is it's because the gun "lags" behind the camera when you turn. The bigger the gun the greater the lag. You're probably seeing the gun catching up? This shouldn't be an issue when you're fine tuning your aim at a target.

If I already have one I leave it but if it's in better shape then mine I swap them out.

If you would like proof, turn your in game smoothing to 100% and move your mouse. You will feel the difference. And no, the gun does not "lag" because it is bigger. If you bothered to read my post instead of assuming things that do not exist, I clearly stated that it was ONLY when I zoomed in with the long range scope. Switched the scope to the PSU and it was 1:1 (no negative acceleration).
over9000nukez 199 Posted August 23, 2014 ya i dont like this when i move my scope i have the same issue of when you move your scope too fast the gun tries to catch up, like the dexterity is still happening.

Someone who concurs. I mean, unless the long range scope weighs 20 pounds alone, it should not be affecting the dexterity. Bororm 1156 Posted August 24, 2014 Really dude? I mean really..? Yes. I'm just trying to help you figure out the problem, because it's not something I and most other people have experienced. If you're not interested in help (which judging by your attitude you're not), and just made this thread to bitch then that's fine and I'll not waste my time Good luck. KingOfTime 267 Posted August 24, 2014 ya i dont like this when i move my scope i have the same issue of when you move your scope too fast the gun tries to catch up, like the dexterity is still happening.because it is, the larger the firearm, the more "lag". This is probably what leads to it feeling like there is negative acceleration. Just hold your mosin up, dont scope in, and turn real fast, the weapon lags behind. I think thats whats happening here. Sorry if this makes no sense, just got out of wokr and Im tired as hell.

I created this thread solely to troll you Bororm. I believe it may be the dexterity mixed with high scope zoom on a large rifle that is simulating negative mouse acceleration.
