Where is everyone?

I've been server-hopping nearly full 40 player servers for the last 2 hours and I haven't found a single other player or zombie.  I've been between Novo and Berezino a bunch of times, and I haven't seen anything.  I'm not even bothering being careful; I'm just running down the main streets.  Not a single player or zombie.

 

I've been playing on/off for the last month, and I haven't seen anyone else in ages.  Where is everyone??

Could be because allot of servers are not spawning anything right now. That and ppl are randomly restarting fresh allot it seems. So they are probably waiting for a fix rather than wandering around trying to find anything.

Hackers CoD players are in Berezino stroking each other and everyone else is checking out the new stuff.

I've been off and on persistent enabled and disabled servers.  Not one issue and servers have been full.  So not sure where you're getting your info from.

From directly playing the game. The servers iv been on that are all i made sure 3rd person have been coming up lootless for me. And not only that iv been getting some odd respawns too,

I'm out west just wandering around, hoping to find another hiker. The wilderness has very different gameplay than the coast.

You'd normally have to server hop about 4+ times to get lucky and find a nice Berezino. New town Novo is pretty hip too, it's just that it's so big that you actually have to look for people, not follow the gunshots.

Hang around Novo for a while on a full server, and you're bound to meet some people. The tall building north in the city usually has people close by. For some reason I have met more friendly people in Novo than anywhere else, which is a nice change. Otherwise I still end up in gunfights every time I decide to yolo it and go to Berenzino.

What Deathlove is talking about is actually a logged issue that a number of people have had: It seems as though somehow they get into a state where they cannot find/see any loot, at all, anywhere. From reports I've seen some people have been able to fix this by rebooting and trying a couple of other things. It seems sporadic and not terribly wide spread, but apparently it's happening.

I grew tired of playing single player DayZ, so I'm taking a break until the servers get a player slot boost. There's only so much "new stuff" to try out. After a couple of hours, it's back to the ghost town of Chernarus.

The only people I ever really see are those gravitating around the coast near Berezino. I am sick of being in that area of the map, so I'll just wait until there's a little more incentive for people to travel around.

I've been avoiding Berezino for the last while because I like full servers and generally it meant hackers at bere but I went back last night and it was carnage and a lot of fun.
