I found a suspicious M4

Today I joined a pretty full server, spawned in Berezino, and ran to the building near the police station. (I just respawned)

Outside of the building it was a M4A1 on the ground, and I was very glad to find it. Every part was pristine, but then I saw the mag.. 6.67878e+0 08/60

Is this a bugged mag? When I fired, I had infinite ammo, and when I ejected it, it just disappeared.

 

I'm very confused right now..

Yes, they are not supposed to function like that.  It was created by a hacker/scripter/whateryoucallem.

Still don't get why people need shit like this to play the game. I mean damn, I can't kill anyone with 30 shots from my m4 so I will give myself unlimited ammo then talk mad shit after I kill you. Good for you on dropping that magazine and not taking the easy route. They need to fix this shit soon, so tired of sketchy things that people can do ingame just to feel like king of the hill

Yeah, they have to fix this. I hope all hackers get banned, because as you say, it's not fair to the "real players" what they do.

Yes it's a hacked mag.  If you're feeling adventurous I'd take the mag out and find a body to put it on and hide (I think zombies stick around for just long enough to place an item)

I tried empty the mag, and all ammo was gone. Then i tried to paint the M4A1, and the whole thing bugged away all over the map.. Found the buttstock in Kamyshovo.

Now I'm back on track and trying to help people :)

Some people server hop, some go crazy looting all military barracks, some just cant be f****d to do any of this, so they just cheat. But the thing they all have in common is GUNS, GUNS, AMMO, MORE GUNS AND MORE AMMO.

As long as this game is pvp allowed there will be hackers, anti cheat or not. For the record im not asking this game to be pve

pvp is somewhat the thing here I believe. Still, survive of the fittest. Still, there are good and bad people. Imagine if all the players were good and not allowed to kill. That would ruin the tension of facing other players. More zombies would make weapons for more useful and in situations where weapons would have to use against zombie hordes.

Private "shard" servers are coming very soon.  This means an end to server hopping into and out of those servers, control of players and play styles (including no KOS, etc).

 

Think about the possibilities of creating or joining a community with it's own rules and culture for it's server.  The rules for a particular server and it's whitelisted community could shape the play style.

 

For example, a server could specify no KOS, but still allow banditry such as robbing others of their loot, or could allow players in the community to rotate role playing as bandits for slots of time so that there is a threat but it's at least not every freaking person you come across running around with a high capacity machine gun strategizing how to kill you instantly.

This would be so lame and sad if this happens again, just like in the mod. I'd just join these servers and KOS every1 on sight until I get banned from them.

It's not bugged, it is called Elite Version of m4a1. American soldiers used them in Iraq.

I think about the 5.56 30x2 STANAG magazines with infinite ammo, the rest of the M4A1 is "normal"
