The "Bandit Skin" from the Mod is back!

Just kidding a bit :)  It was the best I could reach in the loot limited 0.48 exp for a look-a-like, though I was nearly always a Hero in the Mod. But I know many people loved the Bandit Skin.

Basically its a shoot on sight order towards anyone with a gun and a shemag like this. So we have the following headgear as an indication of who you are:

Motorcycle helmet: Treat suspiciously, avoid

Payday mask: Troll/griefer, avoid

Shemag: Bandit, shoot on sight

Ballistic helmet: May not be hostile, avoid and kill if player approaches

Beret/boonie hat: Milsim roleplayer, shoot on sight

Baseball cap: Not hostile, worth determining if player is friendly

Gasmask: Airfield hopper, shoot on sight

Burlap sack: Insane individual or possibly possessed by demons, look for priest at Elektro church to perform excorism

I hated the skin. We called it "the glowstick". I guess for obvious reasons xD

Oh my post was moved to its own thread, but actual not a bad idea :)

@Pokerguy10

You are right in most ways, but I usually wear a motocycle helmet as soon as I can get as protection against aggro newbies, because I dont attack unarmed players. And many people try to exploit my "kindness" with their fists. But if I have enough room in my inventory I carry the helmet for example in my pant or vest and put it on my head just in case.

PS: Next time i will try to reach a Mod Hero look-a-like, with cap, check shirt, blue jeans and hopefully black high capacity vest, hehe.

I love these lists so much.. So much wrong with them, Yet sometimes they're right..

Shoot on site, don't bother to ask questions after.

You honestly have no idea how badly I want to be able to make a poncho.

Pure bullshit. I choose whatever looks nice to me, not whatever reflects my playstyle.

It's called judging without knowing them :P

"I don't like your face, I shoot at you."

What about a guy carrying a crossbow and wearing a pilot helmet?

Not pure bullshit. Accurate about 80-90% of the time. The way you dress in game *probably* reflects your playstyle.

I think it has some truth about it. It does not mean that everyone with a shemag is a bandit. However the policy "always KoS" will probably make you do the "right thing" (killing a hostile and not killing a friendly) more often than "always approach them in a peaceful way".

The point is that clothing reflects your character and the way you are playing is some way. So if the playstyle "stalk and kill other players" tends to influence your choice or clothes in a certain direction, people wearing this kind of outfits are more likely to follow the playstyle "stalk and kill other players". That doesn't mean its a safe bet but it increases their "perceived threat level".

I judged it from the people I play with. None of them are bandits but would gladly wear a bandit mask if it happened to look cool. So it's pure bullshit not in the sense that people don't choose face/headwear according to their playstyle, but rather that you're not supposed to take action depending on what the player wears.

Lone wolf here & I wear the gas mask, as I've had it for ages now. I'd be mildly annoyed if someone accused me of server/airfield hopping. Thankfully all you scrubs are rubbish at this whole KoS thing.
