If a certain weapon or whatever is hard to find in a current build, its either a wee bug thats gonna get fixed, or the devs intentionally pushing people to try new things.

And since M4 spawns currently only at heli crashes, it means they are gone for the moment.

I agree. When they have the system up and running you will have to hunt for one a bit but there will be no real problem. and with 5.56 ammo coming from AK 101 ammo spawns and crash sites both more ammunition will be available for us than before. The Dev team is making steady progress and we should high five them for it. 

 

R.I.P M4A1 ?  Bullshit! But I hope this causes the peanut gallery to forsake looking for M4A1 rifles, hardware, ammo and attachments. It will make the search efforts of the faithful more productive.

Found 2 AK101 mags looting balota with my buddies tonight. No server hopping required. You server hoppers should be able to find 5.56 rounds easy enough

i actually found a M4A1 with full equip besides the mag in a shed in the middle of nowhere. and i havent played since yesterday but my m4 was still there

This bug actualy helped Alpha gameplay a great deal. Before you could find tons of M4A1 carbines all over Chernarus resulting in the weapon becoming commonplace. Now it got moved to helicopters and the other assault rifles are limited to military areas. However, the "excess rifles" from 0.44 or before are still around to some degree. But with helicopter crashsites not spawning their numbers are dwindling. A good thing as it eliminates their abundance without having to go through a complete character wipe.

I only had the M4 once and I didn't like it. Shot it empty and then threw it away on Skalisty Island. Found the AK yesterday and left it there... I keep wondering what the hell I need an assault rifle for...

He didn't though. I still meet people using it. All they did is removing the spawn points which does nothing in terms of hacked magazines. The only method to get rid of leftover items is a global (whole hive) character wipe.

When the private hive comes then you will truly see the end of the M4 because you wont be able to take to other servers.

Considering there are still people with it, including infinite-ammo magazines, I highly doubt what you're saying is true. People also did it with other guns, it's not like the M4A1 was the only one, it's just that the M4A1 was the most popular candidate.

Guys you compleatly missed the point. When (or if) they can fix the hacked mags glitch, then they should make it harder to find and well not so surplus. Well you all probably hate me now and are gonna critisize the hell out of me. Shows how mature you are.
