Knight05 (DayZ) 10 Posted July 3, 2014 Anyways to get back on topic and ignore the side chatter, I have a clan of 30 we all went out on a mission yesterday to find one. We scoured the entire map, every spawn on multiple servers and on one server checked every spawn location, not a single one. So I'm going to say after 10 hrs of checking multiple servers and every spawn they are NOT spawning either AT ALL or insanely insanely INSANELY rare on most if not all servers. Something is definetly wrong and hopefully this is addressed and hot fixed =/ As for the comments about me server hopping. I am NOT a server hopper when I play for reals. I only did it to prove that helis werent crashing and to gather data faster as I wanted to see if they really were up and spawning in game. Once I found one I would of played like normal. So before you go passing the torch of judgement maybe gather all the facts. Last time I checked everyone who purchased the game can play any way they see fit wether you agree or it fits into your circle of morally correct actions or not :) 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Or can a dev comment on this thread about the status of heli crashes on dayz and wether they are aware they arent spawning or not and an ETA for a hot fix if any? As others have said I think this new car spawning thing they say is in now is over riding the heli crashes somehow. It sounds like nobody has found one yet so they are either insanely rare at the moment or my guess is completely non existant. Hopefully this is hot fixes and we don't have to wait a week. trev186 389 Posted July 4, 2014 Sooo somehwere on the map are spawning police cars with mp5/magazines and when such police car spawns it cancel heli crash spawn. Not sure what to think about it yet. Waiting for map with possible police car spawns.just the normal police cars you see out front of popo stations. I find MP5k/mags on the hoods occasionally as well as other gear like anti stab vest & police clothes. The best place for those is Svelto...sounds like they are experimenting with this ultra rare gibberish too much....almost impossible to get a heli spawn Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Yeah I've found binos, looked different from the ones before (black rather than copper coloured) so don't know if they are replacements or a different type. Knight05 (DayZ) 10 Posted July 5, 2014 I will submit a ticket about it now, I would really hope/like to see a Dev's feedback on this and some clarification if these are in game right now or not so people don't keep wasting time chasing something that isn't there. Can a mod or forum admin pass the word along or is that out of your channels of communication? I will try reaching them on twitter as well but they haven't responded thus far. Hetstaine 10852 Posted July 5, 2014 (edited) I think the sites are broken, did a run tonight and checked 48 locations..not a one. Mine is the white line, got into two firefights so was delayed otherwise i could have checked them all. Possibly something to do with the police car spawn 'event' cancelling them out, don't really know. edit- this was on latest experimental 47.12453, have run into some other guys since.47 and none have seen a heli either. Once you have them in your hands try space bar to get them up then left click to see through them. edit- just reread and you already used space bar, my space bar is hold breath and right click is bring whatever is in hands up.. I just tried two sets on latest experimental and they worked, maybe on stable they are the old buggy version you have ?
