compass is not pointing straight

Recommended Posts

As the headline says...compass is pointing slightly to the left..why on earth would they make it like this?

Although its not really a problem when u only need to get a rough sense of direction. But...if they plan to let us the map and compass to plott a course, u cant use the compass as it is now.

When u hold a compass u need to hold it straight...now its ambiguous as to whether the right direction is the direction the compass points, or if its straigh forward (which would be the most sensible).

I first noticed I wasn't a fan of the compass when planning my swim... it's perfectly fine for pointing north-northwest but pretty poor for pointing 124° 40'. Animation + dial should be tweaked for more clarity and precision.

The compass is broken, hold alt and tilt your neck while walking straight, notice the compass moves in your hands.

Yep, and you can't see it clearly without tilting your head, which makes it pretty useless in normal view. Helix2000 suggested rotating by pressing "end" and "delete" while inspecting it, works far better.

I'm sure the compass is merely a placeholder.  ;)
