Well they could have your body stay for a set amount of time after you disconnect.

Something like a 5-10 second count down timer before log out would be good.

Or as you suggested, your body remains in game for X seconds on disconnects.

This happens to me all the time; i hate aborters. Recently me and my friend killed a sniper in the forest, and i got all of his stuff, but then he ended the server 1 minute later and i lost all of the shit i took from him. It was a japanese server and his name was mamas boy.

the only problem with a timer for dc is that if the games crashes and your in the middle of a town. i have this problem sometimes. but constant dcers need to be delt with. i was around a supermarket once and i was looting as you do then all of a sudden bullets wizz passed my head i look up to see a player so i shot back hit him and then he dced. that really p*ssed me off seeing as he shot 1st at me.
