Are we always going to have two characters? Reg/HC

On the UK hive of Experimental I've noticed that when I log into regular or hardcore its the same character just with or without 3PP.

 

I was wondering if this were possible or desirable for the Stable hive? I know I would certainly play differently if I only had one character. There would almost be no reason to play Regular for me. I prefer Hardcore but I keep my Regular Stable character max geared + rares (E1911, Press Vest, Kitted M4, Bipoded Mosin, etc...)

I play uk exp. and have two different characters. I like having both as they are two different games imo.

I like the fact that hardcore servers have their own community. They create 2 completely gameplay experiences, and I'd like them to stay separated. (Atleast until we get serious private hive servers)

i want to play in first person with other players who can also only see in first person. and who have survived from beginning in first person only.

i dont understand why op want to merge third person and first person character, if you dont want a character on regular, just dont play regular ???

Eventually, we'll have as many characters as we want. When we get "real" private servers, they will each have their own "hive" (like in the mod) so your Reg character for the official servers will still be there just as like your hardcore character for the official servers, but for each private server, regular or hardcore, you'll have a different character. (If it's anything like the mod. The server structure is almost identical.

yeah my comment was not against having separate characters, my comment was saying that if you play a character in a third person server, it should not be allowed in a first person only server. i was ask why the op want to request that character be merged.

i woudl not want to see same character used on reg/hardcore.

 

about third person server, to relax,  i dont find it relaxing, myself. i find it frustrating and unplayable, due to the way the way its impssible to know who can see you. when you cant see them , etc. i generally avoid it, i do play 3pp with friend sometimes, but i cant enjoy it at all really.
