Im actually PVE focused i just prefer military gear over shitty civi stuff. Ill take an AR any day over a standard bolt action rifle.

You will change your tune when weapon maintenance, jamming, malfunctioning, and alternate ammunition is added in.  That bolt action will sure look sweet when your AR seizes up because you never cleaned it (something which I would hope to take an "appreciable" amount of time, IMHO), and the shotgun being capable of firing birdshot, buckshot, slugs, beanbags, flares,etc (all with appropriate damages, spreads and ranges) will be infinitely more versatile than a bog-standard AKM firing a single type of round.

Thats a big if and when it even if at all it comes. Got a long long road on this game for development ahead still.
