Aj90lfc 58 Posted June 14, 2014 After playing this now for 551 hours (The highest amount of time i have put in any game in my 23 years of living and i play games everyday so yeah) I can say that this game is a marvel, although it has it's annoying issues at times, and the hackers and the slow update speed i can and will be patient with it, why? Even when it annoys you more than anything else, 10 minutes later you're still playing it and laugh it off and forget about it. Had some amazing times so far with this game, and i'm loving every minute of it, i never played the mod as i never had any idea it existed until i saw the standalone and bought it, i've since played the mod on Arma 2, and i just can't enjoy the mod for some reason, i don't like the controls, the layout, the movement i just can't enjoy it in general, but the Standalone is another story completely, i can't get enough of this game. Deathlove 2286 Posted June 14, 2014 It has its moments but the mod is still better in allot of aspects besides melee. The melee is pretty terrible in the mod but it makes up for it with other things and the infected situation is still more intense on MOD than in Standalone in the current state. What are your experiences so far?The mod takes patience. but the mod (in my opinion) is 10x better. No, not because its not in alpha and all that other bullshit, but because it is expandable. Mods for new guns, cars, activities. Such as base building in Epoch. You may not have as detailed customization but it has more depth. I personally have logged over 4300 hours in mod (6 hours a day for 2 years, yes I have no life) But only 221 in the standalone. I just can't get into the standalone, now excuse this, but people are so fucking stupid there. And granted they are in the mod, but it is worse. You have glitchers and just more hackers. Ever since standalone came out, I have seen 1 hacker.....1. And i play on 5 different VERY populated servers. But please, give the mod a chance. Try epoch. Give it time. I don't really have a style, i just play how i feel like playing at the time, sometimes i'll help people other times i'll kill them for their gear haha. Depends on what mood i'm in at the time!
