Any idea when the new update is supposed to be released or have the devs given up yet?

Getting tired of horrible frames/massive lag and the floods of hackers. The game is getting rather stale but after seeing a few experimental videos, I honestly can't wait. seems as if people shifted to stary sobor now and I also really like the helicopter crash sites... that and that sexy AKM I haven't gotten a chance to shoot.

Rubber banding fix confirmed in internal testing.

Fix is being pushed to experimental.

Rocket is hyped about the new update.

I'd say we will have it before 1/7/14 (or 7/1/14 for Americans) unless more problems happen.

I belive that quite a lot of folks will give DayZ a try, once this patch is on stable.

 

I wonder what else will be in this patch, if something more then what we have already seen on experimental.

Well they could always patch it today or tomorrow as well so there really is no set date. They could patch it as early as monday if they really wanted to.

It seems they have grown fond of patching during maintenance, which also sound like the easiest way to do it.

All servers are down anyway, and the DB isnt being used, so its the ideal time to patch.

 

If we are lucky, we will have a stable patch next wednesday :) Im betting on maintenance day for patches aswell.

The intent is to push the update to exp for stress testing late Monday (prague time) and if everything checks out we will push the update to stable during maintenence. If something prevents that, we'll try and let you guys know.
