emigrates 261 Posted June 9, 2014 Recently I've seen a massive spark of an increase in people using this GPS hack. Some people are accusing it of being a 3rd party mod that's not detectable, or claiming it's completely fine to use it as it does not conflict the DayZ T.O.S or any other agreements. I'm getting sick of being chased by people, resting by a tree and taking out a weapon just to be gunned down because they can track me using GPS. I'm getting sick of people knowing my exact locations and what weapon I'm using, location I'm facing because they're tracking me using this GPS. I'm not entirely sure what goes into patching these bugs, but from what I'm told people can see anyone around them within 1000m, what weapon they're carrying and where they are facing. I stopped playing with a clan because they were using it.I'm not someone to make DayZ whine threads, I realise this is currently beta and things are changing, but to push a fix for this fast would be amazing. DayZ Dev. current ambitions should be preventing further wall glitching and fixing these loopholes to prevent further use of 3rd party apps. But the wall glitching and .pbo file deleting has stopped my entire team playing at the moment. Back to A3 till it is fixed. Completely destroys the objective if someone is using an unfair advantage like this. I'll try and get a link tomorrow off one of my old clan mates, then record a video of what exactly it does. Obviously, no links to a software download or name. The less people using this, the better. It's crippling me and my friends. I can understand where you're coming from, it's not even 3rd person or looking through walls that annoys me, it's people who blatantly go into secret walls like in airfield jails. Go onto a high pop server and run into a jail, take a look through the upstairs wall and your guaranteed to see someone or something that someone has dropped. Ive been saying this for awhile now, if that supposed invasion and stealing of the source code did indeed happen, its not long before the Hackers will develop a launcher APP for script kiddies and anyone else to buy....Simple once you know the code, Create a Launcher type app with pre loaded Scripts in em and boom.
