Hell no it's not. The bow is still shit, rubberbanding is OP, the game crashes every other hour, the makeshift oven doesn't work properly, fishing isn't animated properly, the bags you make from pelt are not upgradable (they vanish if you try), etc

lol I'm sorry but is it just me....or would it have been EPIC if a zombie just stormed through that door after seeing the stoves fire, ran through the fire at the sitting play, caught fire and than, while ablaze, just mauled the $#$% out of that guy sitting there?!?!?!? Lovin it though

It's an Alpha in the first place...

the main thing that bothers me in the pics above is, that the walls dont block light. i have really high hopes for the new renderer though.

Word, when they fix so that the walls actually blocks light, the game will look A HELL LOT different, and it will actually be dark in many houses since some lack windows and lamps.

Can't wait for it to happen!

 

This game-engine is unbelievably outdated, even Counter-Strike(half-life) had light-sources that were blocked by walls.

They said on reddit they give up trying to fix light going through walls, the engine can't do it.

they said the current renderer cant do it. incidentally, they are completely replacing the renderer. that was the point of my post: that it actually WILL be possible - if it will be VIABLE for performance reasons, has to be seen.

 

FACT: We cannot fix this in the current rendering engine. It is impossible.

FACT: We are currently replacing the entire rendering engine.

Once we have replaced it, we will review the situation.

Look how the light is being blocked by objects. Shadows in real time. The new rendering process will be fantastic!

There wasn't anybody in there (if you're referring to my pic) as I left the building after I cooked my fish because I was afraid other people might sneak up on me. Then again, I wasn't able to see the light from more than 50 or so meters away.

Nope. The rubberbanding has been confirmed by the devs to be caused by the exp build. That is what they are currently working on.

 

Didnt know, I stand corrected thanks!

 

My post still stands anyway as the respawning loot wont be in stable update.
