C1raider 0 Posted May 24, 2014 I dont understand how I join an empty server, an the gigantic map that is DayZ, and I run into players shooting at me. Can Admins choose where they spawn? Does the game automatically spawn you near someone. I understand that there are some "Hot" places but in the last 24 hours its happened 3 times. DelayedReaction 18 Posted May 24, 2014 Everyone currently spawns on the East coast of the map so you are very likely to come across other people in those towns. Berenzino is quite the hot zone usually, as are any towns with police stations everyone who knows where they are will attempt to go there first to get equipped but then people camp nearby in order to...well, I'm sure you can guess what they do :P Best thing you can do is go on "friendly" servers, maybe you'll get shot at a bit less.BUT NOTEThese " ", so called friendly servers aren't exactly friendly people will still likely shoot at you for no good reason but perhaps less. Depends on the town really, I mean if you are in one of the towns just west of where the new spawn points are, then yes you will meet peeps trying to get loot and whatnot. I found out the hard way, I was chillin in a house in north dubrovka just sorting my loot and met 4 people. Shot 2 because they tried to axe me or shoot and killed a 3rd because he came into the room I was in even after I asked him to stay out. He came in and got some lead poisoning for his troubles. I did feel like a heel afterwards because I realized my mic had been muted the whole time. Death By Crowbar 1213 Posted May 25, 2014 I was on a server with 1 other person, so I assumed it was safe to trek to Balota airfield. Got there, noone around, started looting.
