water pistol and chemicals

Finding a childs water pistol in a supermarket or civ location, then being able to fill it with some types of chemical or liquid that you could find in an industrial zone, would be a good close quarters weapon in dayz world. Maybe it would burn or better blind a player (or just very blurry vision?), until they cleared their eyes with water, or maybe they would need a proper medical item to get true vision back?

Could be a kind of mace, or could be a more serious damaging weapon, not sure, but would be a good defensive weapon for the pacifist types if it was just a temporary blinding weapon. Maybe could have two different chemicals that would cause different effects,

 

Also, could use a washing up liquid bottle instead with worse accuracy.

That'd be some real close range spraying, and you'd have to hit em in the (face) head to have any effect.  Could be a fun way to do some non serious pvp as well, everybody use the water pistols (filled with water, not mace/lemon juice/'random' chemical) and whoever gets soaking wet status first loses.

Could be a fun addition but yeah you'd have to get really close to use this. Perhaps spray cans could have the same weaponized effect?

I Like it it... spray target with petrol.. they see a message " you feel a light spray " ... then they look up and have been lit on fire by the baddies lighter after he spray nad pray with his trusty water pistola

yeah cool ideas, obviously disinfectant spray would be another option to use, maybe with decreased accuracy, i did do a search for that before making this topic, although holding basic plastic water pistol (comes in various colours) would look pretty cool, (as would washing up liquid bottle or disinfectant spray) and having to get "ammo" for it would make it more like other weapons, i think it would go with the theme of using what you can in the environment, and having non harmful/harmful chemical choices would make it versatile. as mentioned in op this would of course be a close range/defensive weapon
