Random, missing audio? (gunshots)

I haven't had this issue since the launch of the mod, but over the past few days I've noticed the sound quality seems to have dropped a bit.  I'm not hearing gunshots on occasion, even when I'm the one firing.

Last night, I was shot.  Neither I, nor my hombres heard the shot.  The second and third, yes.  But not the one that took me off my feet.  And you can SEE the guy shooting from the top of the firehouse.

 

Is anyone else experiencing this, or have I finally reached the maximum saturation for porn & malware on one PC- and this bug is the result?

Most likely because the first shot was direct impact so you were unable to hear rounds skipping off.  With the distance it would be somewhat hard to hear, I was unable to see the bodies inventory when you searched him, what weapon was it?

It was a mosin, on later inspection.  I never got to the body, because it took us an hour to find morphine to fix my broken leg.  :-)

I saw the shot go off (on later review) but I didn't hear it.  I could go with the idea it was because I took the hit, but neither of my friends on either side heard it either.  They both reported seeing me gush blood and fall, but that was it.

We didn't hear shots until he started firing again to (unsuccessfully) finish me off.

Unsure, my bet was on the first being direct impact but I'm unaware of the rest.  There are audio bugs but I do not recall seeing some shots registering some not.

I have the same problems. On one occasion, my buddies and I came down from the tents at NWAF to loot the rest. In the far distance, I heard SKS shots. My mates didn't hear any. I figured it might had something to do with my volume settings. When we got into the ATC, we found another player. He was at the hangars, poppin zombies in the head with an SKS.

 

On a different occasion, my friends and I went towards NEAF. We went to the prison near the hangars and we were pretty close to it, say 200 meters. Suddenly, my mates just hit the ground for cover, because they heard M4 fire. I didn't hear any of that, but sure enough a player runs out the prison with an M4. A bambi ran up to him, the M4 guy unloaded his mag into him and still I didn't hear his shots.

This is a old problem. Flushing the game will help, but how long it will help? I don't know.

this is an older bug, sound generally is pretty f-ed up right now,

i play with a friend often,  and we are close proximity to each other, and 1 of us hears shots other doesnt all the time , probably every day it happens at least once

try pressing shift + numpad minus, then type in the word "flush"

 

this also helps when extreme stuttering starts ;)
