Dangerous environments

Recommended Posts

I know a lot of people have made threads about pve and stuff like that but this is a little different .. My idea is if it's possible to have things like rooftops of aging buildings collapse or pieces of the rify ship wreck falling apart as you are running through it ... Stuff like this would definitely be happening in a post apocalyptic world especially If there was enough time for stuff to start decaying and such ..

I don't necessarily know how it would work but it would be random and wouldn't always happen to the same place at the same time ..

I only suggest this cuz the world is dangerous regardless of zombies infesting it or not , people get badly hurt by the buildings we make especially if they are old and decrepit ! Also for natural things to happen like lightning hitting trees and setting them on fire , or a rock avalanche that breaks off of the rock cliffs on the shore near kamyshovo - solnichny ..

Some Of this stuff described I think would spice up the natural world , instead of knowing "oh that buildings safe cuz I don't hear any people or zombies " you would ask yourself "is this building safe enough for me to enter or will it collapse if I stay in there too long ?".

Most of the dangers are by humans and zombies but we always see in zombie movies and shows that people are alway getting stuck by falling buildings, structures or natural disasters and I believe adding that to dayz (if the engine can take it ) would be an amazing element especially if you're alone and wanna find excitement besides pvp .

I'd love that but first we need better air...currently it's contaminated with lead. But buildings would really have to be left without maintenance for quite some time for them to fall into ruins.

I've seen houses that havn't been lived in for a year or so fall in to decay pretty quickly with no one living in them doing maintenance. theres also an old concrete factory near my home we used to play in as kids it was decrepit and spooky had metal stairs missing very dangerous surprised no kids were killed when we were younger. I'd like to see more decay myself but I think things like that will be done last like a final polish. just like the audio it'll be the shit but unfortunately it'll be one of the last things I think as well.

I think your idea is awesome and one of the best suggestions to improvise the post apocalyptic world of chernaurus, however i dont think this is possible in an online multiplayer mainly due to gameplay issue, server lagging etc. perhaps someone can look into this, make this thread a sticky or something.
