anothercynicalbrit 166 Posted May 11, 2014 This bug has been on the game for so long and it is so easy to do, the reason i am making a post about it is because i would like the devs to know that duping is still easily possible and it needs to be fixed, if anyone from the dev team wants to know how i have done it then they should pm me and i will let them know. If you actually did not know Mago, he means to duplicate items.OP has the right idea. If they wanna know, they'll ask, if not, keep it to yourself. EDIT: That said, they do need to squash this. It's been around for freaking EVER, and just keeps coming back. Idk if they have ever fixed it in the past or not personally. But not too long ago. I caught a whole clan of people duping a hacked magazine and beating down smaller teams of people right on twitch tv. So it's def not something that isn't or can't be game breaking. So, IMHO this is a serious problem that needs to be addressed. I was thinking the other day how awesome it would be to use cheating to make cheaters die constantly, By that I mean the game detects it, and screws them with lightning fast, teleporting, invincible zombies that only target the offending player. Please trust me when I say they do know about it, they are working on it, and if you don't believe me go search reddit for his post or else one of the other recent threads on here, I think about wall glitching, where I already posted it. It is not the removal of .pbo files which is borderline cheating or some people would call it even actual cheating because you remove files from the game folder. It is not "hacking" because you do not add any scripts or third-party programs and they don't make you run faster or shoot better. It is similar to looking around corners with 3rd person, looking through walls with your fists up or leanining in, serverhopping one spot etc. Duping occurs when person starts joining the server (usually with higher ping) and then logs out really fast (presses esc) before the game finishes loading to him, and on that server appears his character clone. These clones, for some reason, are very bad for servers itself, and if two or more clones appear, they can crash all server. And that hurts everyone and looks like DDOS attack even though it is not. It is the developer's failure. I do not condone duping, but better let people abuse/exploit dupe bug than glitch into prison walls or use speedhacks etc. Duping, once again, doesn't make you a better player. It is like a person, who keeps serverhopping baracks, prisons or ATC for half an hour and gets all gear faster than so called "legit players". Duping won't magically make long range scopes or MP parts appear in your backpack. You have to find them first. It is not rocket science, hicks_206 by accident made his clone himself in his recent stream. So developers know about the issue. So you better let other people exploit bugs than let developers know about the bug? Do you even logic? Many many many people know about this bug already, so explaining how this bug occurs isn't gonna change much. Just crash more servers and maybe THEN developers will start doing something. But because of people like you who better keep his little secret to himself, the game is dying. Lucky to you, developers already know about it since the beginning, but it isn't easy to fix it, otherwise it would have been patched in January.
