Melee system is fine, only sucks if you don't play in first person, as in first person, the weapon you use is usually pinpoint accurate, even if it is an axe.

 

Seriously, just play in third person, then when you see a zombie go into first person, grab your weapon of choice, and hit it in the head.

I wouldn't say "pinpoint" but with some experience you can accurately nail an aggro'd zed in the head almost every time.

Guys we usually play only on hardcore so i think that after 500+ hours of gamplay i don't need any advice on how to kill zeds, we was just playing on regular to make some bullshit and funny videos. A single hit kill will not be so funny.. :D

Regular is for joking and noobs, hardcore is for serious gameplay ; ) btw still remain that zeds are really easy ( or pan are really deadly) also if you look carefully there are something like 3 seconds where the zeds dosen't take any damage while i'm hitting him, sometimes happens with melee weapons maybe lag or desync..
