TheLoneSurvivior 37 Posted April 28, 2014 So i bought dayz like 5 days ago, and im enjoying it alot. Even tough i have encountered very few players yet and i have been travelling alone for 4 days. I looted lots and lots of millitary bases, i was packed with food/guns/ammo/handguns/handcuffs/ and good gear.So just today i logged in and started up dayz to head to cherno to help some freshspawns out, have a converstation and hummiliate the bandits. I spawn on the coast and lost all my stuff. I was panicking and mad/pissed, but read somewhere to not move and join another server, i tried that but to no avail. And this has happened 3 times already IN 5 DAYS. Look, i know the game is still in alpha but the devs must fix this ASAP. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

In that time you could have been spotted by a player or had your head caved in by zombies, in the 996 hours I have played the standalone, I have had my character reset twice, where it came up with some error message saying my character wasn't able to be loaded in properly and was reset. Make sure your not logging off in a commonly traveled area, and your in a spot zombies can't just run to and maul you. Besides that, never ever get attached to your gear, it comes and goes, and really isn't hard to re-gear yourself. 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
nl 986 Posted April 28, 2014 2 things to keep in mind:-there a regular and hardcore servers, on both you have a different character, possibly you switched?-when a server restarts don't try to join too fast again, give it a few minutes, this tactic seems to have solved my character wipes, but maybe I've been lucky the last 2 weeks. You did bought the game so you have to know that there will be MANY things which can annoy you and so on. So if you are ready to face these problems, you are welcome. Otherwise you shouldn't buy the game. You did. Deal with it. (by that I mean wait for that bug to be fixed) Writing about it for the 1012891267812 time will not change anything. DayZ_Friendly 145 Posted April 29, 2014 Dude, you are probably logging in at some really bad places. I've already killed several people logging into the ATC towers while I was up there.
