As to freedom of speech, no, not as many people think of it to be. You are limited in what you can say here. Our rules are very relaxed though and you can get away with many things that would not be tolerated on our sister Bohemia forums.

 

Please move on, the forum is not a place to question mod descisions. If you really do have an issue then PM another mod, preferably a Green one your concerns and it will be passed higher up.

Ok, but what if what he did wasn't offensive? If you logged into an American sever and played 'Dixie', would that be offensive? How about playing the Pledge of Allegiance with 'in god'? Or the without 'in god', which was the original version? I guess I just don't see offense nearly as easy as other people. Maybe it was his tone, which was almost bragging about the WW2 stuff. In that, I could understand some discomfort I guess, but I would almost wonder how many people on the server knew what the song even was about.

That kind of stuff is illegal in Germany.

 

On topic, when I'm bored I set up a gaslamp in a tool shed far inland on a low pop server and read a book :thumbsup:

You realize this is a private forum right?

 

Freedom of speech only applies to public venues. I can kick you out of any private place I run simply for what you are saying.

 

you have no expecation of this right inside of any private setting.

 

 

He warned him because calling someone even a nameless person faceless entity out over their country of orgin, ethnicity or the historic actions of others is really unfair.

 

Should his joke be considered hate? I don't have an answer but I do know it was not said with love.

 

If he had called him out personally he would have been doing no better.

 

As an admin he is attempting to protect all of our rights by doing his job.
