Got Banned for some reason..."I actually wasn't hacking"

So Iv been playing DayZ since day one...About a week ago me and my friends were playing on an overwatch server,That we've been playing on for months. We get off for the night and I go to work the next morning and get home to play with my friends. I log on the server...and It shows the message "Global Banned #56578. So i was like wtf tried to get help from BE's support page on why I got banned out of the blue. no response at all in a week. Then I finally give in buy a new copy since it was on sale for like 6 bucks i think. I play for the next couple of days, I get banned again after about 30mins of playtime. Now im just looking for reasons...On forums which is pointless because no one believes from the start. But I was thinking maybe because I had to win7 boots and one ran in test mode...but I could still do everything like play arma, I was thinking maybe it might have something to do with it but im not for sure...Iv deleted everything I possible could that might be something like a cheat engine...mods for others games and everything...What Im asking is...do you guys have a single idea of what it could or might be...like program wise? Thanks for anything help...Its appreciated. But I cant stress this enough...It had to be a false positive on their part...Because I dont cheat...and never have, Maybe wrong version, or some type of launcher I have for something thats making it pick it up wrong...

But doesnt the battle eye look for altered game files?  That means the ban can only be from cheating.  Or does battle eye scan our whole pc for programs running in background?

Thats what I was thinking...but I dont cheat...never have...thats why im going threw my whole PC cant find a damn thing...do you know of a easier way of finding stuff like that?

But at least prove why we know.  Does battle eye scan for altered game files or only known script programs or both?  Tell him how we know before accusing.  Maybe others will stop cheating if they know its impossible to avoid.

I was a CAL admin for a few years back in the heyday. If VAC can erroneously ban someone that isn't cheating, I'm pretty sure BattlEye can too. (; I'm not defending the OP, I'm just saying it's definitely possible.

This is why forums are almost pointless....Random people joining the conversation to say something stupid...and not helping...Iv never bought hacks for arma ever....So how could my game files be altered at all...Is there another way for them to get altered? Thats why I mentioned the dual boot thing..thought maybe that had something to do with it...So im thinking it searches your whole computer

There was a guy on the forums earlier claiming he was banned for loading some hook for another single player game he had. Maybe that's what happened. Although, as far as I know, BattlEye only scans your actual game folders. I don't know if it scans active processes like Warden and VAC do.

No offence but any 30 year who got screwed over getting even one false positive would seriously let this game go. I'm an adult myself and If i got banned from a game for no reason, I'd spend all my time appealing and vow to never buy their product of theres again.

 

If you bought a branded TV, and it explodes the first time you plug it and they say sorry it's your fault you made it explode, no refund or exchanges, makes sense to go buy the same TV again?

 

No one in the forum is going to be able to help you identify what caused a false positive on your side, sorry.

Only one real option:

 

Backup computer files you need (no softwares, system files or .exes)

Format Computer fresh, install only OS and updates and essential files.

Install Steam / DayZ on new account, Do NOT log into banned accounts at all.

Reset Router / IP, just incase can never be careful.

Clean/format USB if you have any sort of dirty software on it.

Play game and await new ban pretty sure you won't get banned.

And if you are a cheater, hopefully get banned a 3rd time :D

Forums are useless...I was trying to get in contact with BE support service for a week....I got automated replies...So i bought a new key...SO I COULD ENJOY THE GAME. but honestly Im gonna just reinstall windows...and hope it helps. Thanks for advice. Oh and go and try to contact battleye....It's almost impossible...you have no common sense at all

There is literally no point in commenting if all you are going to do is argue or call him a liar. Just laugh and move on if thats your stance.

 

Ive heard of people getting false bans in the past for things like Teamspeak (not actually TS, but something like that). Sweetfx has gotten people bans before. I cant remember all of the instances but I was a moderator for BMRF.me until they shut down and we had numerous people get banned and either reversed later (which is next to impossible) or they just did a fresh OS install and repurchased the game under a new account. For a hacker this gets so old, so fast its not worth it after a few times even with Bill Gates income. For the non-hacker this is your only way of getting back in game if you cannot find the file that is getting you banned. Also do not play on any of those old servers you frequented just prior to being banned, its rare but things can happen on wonky server/mod hosting sites. Only purchase official BIS files, not some janky key. Only install previously verified mods and files. Install the minimum for dayz, try for a while and see if you get banned again. If you do, give up. Throw PC through window, etc..

 

Good luck if you're honest about what happened, I happen to be inclined to believe your conviction rather than the easy road of saying you are guilty. I also believe in ghosts, bigfoot, aliens, and life on other planets. Also God. So take my opinions as you see fit. ;)

You're talking about the Arma 2 mod and not about the standalone right? Btw those don't share bans but Arma 3 and DayZ standalone does.
