imperian_man 31 Posted April 17, 2014 (edited) We need some kind of story behind DayZ,I remember when I was active, there was a story about the radio transmitions, then today I read the story about this UZB-76/UVB-76,and I had to investigate,it is so interesting, and has so much potential.Any myth hunter in here, that can give me an update if there is anything in DayZ?Its basicly a Russian signal that has been going off for 30 years, producing a buzzing sound, but very rarely actual transmissions Edited April 17, 2014 by imperian_man

Elle 562 Posted April 17, 2014 Yeah, i beleive it was chernarus creepy stuff division that faked it, i also wish there was more stuff like this.indeed but the thread is well worth the read. for your convenience.... http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/168707-the-ccsd-chernarian-creepy-stuff-department-needs-investigators-for-the-radio-transmission-mystery/ its a very long thread and I read it over a couple of days, I even participated for a brief period but found nothing to report back with - its possible I was too late for the show. with some luck the devs will put stuff like this in just to make it more interesting, I'm all in for discoverable lore. ZomboWTF 527 Posted April 17, 2014 (edited) Theres radio transmissions at green mountain, giving morse code and a bunch of grid co-ords, thats all im aware of.that number station just calls out the coordinates of all the deerstands in chernarus... can't wait for the walky-talkies having a use though story: take it or leave it, i dont' care, as long as game mechanics will stillbe implemented and the story doesn't introduce some stupid gimmicky stuff thats not needed Edited April 17, 2014 by Zombo

hannibaldaplaya 1095 Posted April 17, 2014 If DayZ had some actual story, people wouldnt just kill each other No, story wouldn't stop people from murdering each other. This is a sandbox survival game set in an apocalypse, people are going to get paranoid and shoot each other to make sure they don't get shot.

Easy access to weapons is what's causing people to shoot people.
