willhelm 85 Posted April 16, 2014 Don't confuse this with wound tiers (if you don't know what that is, it's basically what alcohol tincture is used for, i,e cleaning wounds etc) What I would like to suggest in this post is that once you start to bleed, if you get shot again, or hit by another zombie/player then you would suffer more bleeding, as in you would lose more blood per second from being hit twice by a zombie than once. Of course if you reach Tier two bleeding (Which is just being hit again after starting to bleed) then you would need two rolls of bandages, (if you don't know what I mean by this then I'll explain, instead of using the default 25% of the bandage roll you would use 50% for tier 2, 75% for Tier 3, etc, etc.) I know this is worded very badly, I apologise for that, I'll do my best to re-word it if you need me to.
TheScruffyBandit 382 Posted April 16, 2014 (edited) I like how people can eat a shotgun shell or Mosin round to the chest at point blank range and stop the bleeding from the gaping wound where their heart and lungs use to be with only a single rag. The bleeding system needs a complete redesign honestly. Edited April 16, 2014 by TheScruffyBandit
Zedertone 378 Posted April 16, 2014 (edited) 1 hit = 1 Bleed.2 hit = 2 bleedetc etc. 1 bleed = 25% bandage2 bleed = 50% bandageetc etc. Any better? :PP.S, I like your profile picture haha! Edited April 16, 2014 by Zedertone
ghasteater100 5 Posted April 16, 2014 I agree, the bigger the wound, the more you bleed, a hit by a zombie means low blood loss, a shot with a gun means high blood loss.(this happens in the mod) and the bigger the wound, the more rags/bandages needed. haven923 65 Posted April 16, 2014 Perhaps have different types of bleeding? You could have light red blood that is a shallow wound and could be stopped by a bandage, or you could have deep red blood that indicates arterial bleeding and requires gauze to pack the wound and a bandage, possibly two. Maybe you gotta combine rag and a stick to make a tourniquet?

In the mod you can stop pain by eating painkillers (Doesn't work irl) BUT morphine does, and it does it far more quickly, so i suggest we also have different levels of pain

triage 117 Posted April 17, 2014 I agree with this. I would like to see a more of an ACE wounding system in Dayz.

If you're bleeding out severely I've heard that morphine would actually kill you because it slows the heart and can't get the blood everywhere it needs to be. So if you're bleeding out and you administer morphine, there's a chance that you could die or get even worse.Different medicines interact differently with your condition.
