Tactical Vest

I don't know how up-to-date this information is, but if it's true, I'm wondering about something:

 

I use to watch a guy's stream, in his livestream yesterday that guy got killed.

When I joined his stream today, he was again fully geared (well, he has an own server, so I'm not wondering about that), but he was wearing a tactical vest, as well as 2 of his mates he was playing with.

 

So how can it be that these guys are all having a tac vest, when it should be removed from the game. And also, if it's not removed, where does it spawn? In more than 300 hours of playtime I've never seen it.

I see them all the time at Military bases and airfields,even in some city buildings and firehouses

Black vests,green,brown and green although I guess the rare one these days is the press/anti-stab vest

Ye it's removed only the Uk assault vest is in there, but it pretty much does the same.

 

There's also a black version of the UK one.

I find tactical vests as well, but it is a UK Assault Vest that does a similar job:

It was definately not an Assault Vest.

When that guy had his inventory open and was hovering the cursor over the vest, I clearly could real Tactical Vest, he even spoke about it on the stream, but he didn't tell where he got it from.

they must be duping it off a really old character that hasn't died since before they removed it from the loot spawns, would be my explanation.

Maybe there are still some floating around from older characters. I've not seen one spawn for months though.

Some of his Clan mates might still have one, and duped it. My thoughts. It's definetely not spawning anymore.

 

Edit: PS: The tactical vest was exactly the same as the one in ArmA3. Might be the reason they removed it. Not sure.

He is either duping an old tactical vest or hacking it in.

The Tactical Vest is not removed from the game, just removed from spawn tables, i.e. it simply doesn't spawn. At least not until they fix the clipping issue it has.

Or, they took it out to tweak its values. Or took it out and forgot to put it back in.

 

Developers just sometimes... forget to do stuff... /glares at DICE. /glares AGAIN at DICE.

Maybe they didn't want Arma 3 vests. They probably want to make vests specifically for DayZ. I also heard something about it not fitting correctly on players, something with the engine I suppose

tactical vests got removed.

 

UK assault vests didn't.

 

If he and his friends are all using tac.vests

 

Alot of clan players and twitchers/youtube streamers are of questionable moral character and see duping gear as fair game, not saying that's what happened but 3 players all using an item that was removed from the game some time ago, and wasn't that common in the first place makes me a tad suspicious.

It was EA who was way too greedy and impatient to get paid, and made DICE speed up development.

 

I don't really think DICE, the developer, is to blame, I think it was the publisher's (EA) fault.

Wasn't talking about the overall state of BF4, but they're both equally to blame.

 

However, I was referring to stuff that they just... forget... like having irons show when looking down 4x sights (which was not the case in BF3 as per player feedback), or forgetting to put reticles on certain things like Mortars and the HIMARS in Hardcore, or neglecting to realize that by adding aesthetic crumbly bits to the top of blown-out walls they effectively render bipods useless in many scenarios.

They're duping it, not hacking it in. Cheaters can't use scripts on servers with the script system disabled. :) But +Beans anyways!
