Irish. 4886 Posted April 12, 2014 How did you manage to control the zoom variably? Like the first time you zoom it's kind of bit-by-bit. How do you do that if this is just surely holding down right-click?it bugged on the first press for some reason. zoom has been in since release noobs its the + key on your numpad rebind it to right click herp a derp
Irish. 4886 Posted April 12, 2014 (edited) Could be wrong but i am sure i saw irish post a pic of what he plays dayz with which was some space age looking mouse /controller with analogue levers on it i would say he has one of these analogue controls made to be his zoom so he can control it. I am one of those guys who uses a controller so i have an analogue trigger for it plus i use pedals to analogue control my leaning.Negative. I have right mouse click as my zoom. Just like everyone else, essentially. Also, this is in fact iron sight zoom. Not some trick or FOV or anything other than literally having back iron sight right click zoom. Apparently everyone at Redditt thinks I am a total noob for posting this up, as they all state its been known since March that they added in iron sight zoom to Exp. servers? WTF? -Gews- 7443 Posted April 12, 2014 (edited) BUT the zoom is also fixed on the PU scope. Na... it ain't fixed. Saw someone post "PU now has correct zoom" on Reddit, checked, and... they were comparing it to the initial zoomed out level, not the zoomed in level as they are supposed to. And even then it was only 3.3x. <_< There have been no changes to the PU's zoom, it's the same as ever. Edited April 12, 2014 by Gews

-Gews- 7443 Posted April 12, 2014 Isn't that also dependent on what your fov is set at ? Nope, at any FoV it will always be the same magnification compared to the iron sights at that FoV.
gibonez 3633 Posted April 12, 2014 Nope, at any FoV it will always be the same magnification compared to the iron sights at that FoV. Ic so the lower the FOV is the higher the perceived magnification ? High fov = 0.5 x 3.3Low fov = 1.5x 3.

It's the inconsistencies between scopes, iron sights and normal vision that is the problem, the PU scope is not providing a 3.5x larger magnification than your player's eyes do. I didnt really have any way to measure it (and I only had a damaged one)
