I know this is not the thread for this, BUT I really want his attention and hope you actually read this...

 

As you may or may not know, A lot of shit is being stirred up with the Dayz Origins mod since yesterday...The Dev Team from this mod have pulled the plug on ALL their GameServer Hosts since they have launched their own hosting company to create a monopoly of server hosting and left hundreds of PAYING Admins without servers (before the end of our terms) for their own personal profit and advancement using YOUR creation...

 

This is in no way a request for money or compensation, this isn't about the 60$ I got screwed out of (financially speaking ill still be able to eat at the end of the day lol). This is about people using the Dayz name (and Bohemia to a certain extent) for personal advancement and profit without ANY consideration for players\admins and the actual Dayz franchise. Having third parties take peoples money then dropping everyone in the dark because they want more and force us to use exclusively their servers without ANY warnings or heads up? ...Is this behaviour acceptable?!? Is this something that we can expect when we start renting SA servers? How are people going to feel when you start your studio with stories like this following?

 

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this game and have the highest respect for what you and your team has done and in noway blame you or anyone from Bohemia for this, but...In my country (Canada), when you take someone's money for services and then don't provide them, it's considered FRAUD and THEFT, I love this game, I loved playing the Dayz mod for years and find this absolutely unacceptable and request (if you can) that the Dayz Origins Dev team have their rights on the Dayz Mod REVOKED for fraudulent activity, theft, monopoly creation and misleading people using the Dayz Name!

Dayz origins were going sour months before this with making there server files hidden from the public and basically saying you have to rent a server for the mod...you cant make of a mod...its just bad business...really hope you sort this out and the guys who made origins should be tried in court for this. I'm struggling to understand how this could possibly come as a surprise to anyone that has followed Origins for any length of time, this isn't an isolated case, the developers are well known to be greedy scumbags. I don't really have much sympathy for GTXGaming either who had an exclusive deal with King*unt for the last year or more. I'd suggest getting your refund from GTXGaming and moving on. I doubt the DayZ devs are going to get involved now when they haven't in the past.

yes, my post was deleted and i tried to talk to them and i couldn't 

 

when in past i was hearing rumors that KingHunt takes money i was thinking it is jealousy and competition and black-p.r. from other mods, but when i read statement from GTX Gaming Com i was thinking i will get a stroke and i couldn't believe it

 

Martin claimed in past that he gets donations from King from players, it was not more than 100 pounds, 200 pounds in some months, 

 

8th November 2013 is last money i get, 60 pounds, it is last money i had from Origins, 

previously there were 50pounds 1st July 2013,  80 pounds, 120 pounds in 13th October, 

 

but GTX Gaming wrote about over 60 000 pounds, this sounds insane for me, totally insane , Martin and Alex were claiming that they are equally sharing donations that they get from players and they get no money from servers host, just player donations which we share for us 3 on equall basis, i rang Martin mobile 3 times today but he not answered mobile, 

 

when GTX wrote this officially i am really in shock, cause as far as i know noone from dev team was getting money from server hosting (dev team: me, Martin, Alex, from time to time one guy making Youtube videos, another guy who made 2-3 buildings for Taviana), King is not dev team cause King is making p.r. and hosting website, King has no skills to do models, textures, islands, code, King is just Gamersplatoon owner and p.r. manager, so whom was paying GTX ? to King ? 

 

if GTX was paying to King (they claim to dev team, hahah, i am dev team and i was not payed that enormous money) than i hope it will end in court cause seems we worked whole year for free 

GTX should say WHOM they payed money DIRECTLY !!!, they said dev team, but dev team is Alex, Martin and was me till Nov/Dec 2013 when i get job in graphic studio and i had no more time for Origins due to job

 

in past i was treating such rumors as totall lie and bullshit, but when GTX put it officially i am in deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep shock 

 

in year 60 thousands mean 5 thousands per month , o my god, huge money

No offense but GTXGaming have had affiliate information on their website for as long as I can remember. Here is a post I made on Reddit 8 months ago. 

 

The devs have no interest in releasing the server files, they have a commercial interest in only allowing GTX Gaming to host it as they receive a commission through their affiliate program for each sale. http://www.gtxgaming.com/affiliates-program

The base commission is 10% per sale (you can negotiate if you have a high ranking site). So we sell a dedicated server for £89.99 = £8.99 commission for you.

There are currently well over 1000 Origins servers, do the math.

Coming on here and saying that you're extremely shocked now doesn't really help anyone.

 

We have had a massive discussion in multiple threads on these forums a few months back and you ignored every point we were trying to make - including that the Origin-code was ripped from the DayZ Mod (which was confirmed by R4Z0R49).

 

I am not really surprised that it all backfired now. If it's true that the customers are left with servers they can't use now, because Origins decides to make their own hosting company - who is going to pay for them if they just effectively killed their entire customer- and playerbase?

other mods were collecting donations and NOT sharing with me and NOT asking me about permission BEFORE, other mods were not taking care about addonmakers rights, but simply they were copying addons, setting server and setting donations button, and me as author was never asked before can they collect money using my addons ! dozens of mods use my content when they do it for free, but when they want collect money it is not free use, almost every dayz server and mod was making money, unlike Arma mods who not even had donate button

 

but Origins was ONLY mod who asked me about use before and passed me some donations and offered cooperation, makes difference ?

some mods collected over 1000 dollars and NOT even asked me can they use addon to collect money on my work, you don't see difference between "sharing tribute for team member" and "collecting money on other man work without permission" ? 

one mod who was using my cars collected 1000 dollars (over 1000), other server hosters wanted donations perks to start with my vehicles , 

 

in military Arma mods simply HAS NO donation buttons, and they do it for free, no server perks, no donor perks, no collecting money like majority of dayz mods 

 

addons are free to use when mod is free and non-profit, hardly any dayz mod is nonprofit, look at majority of mods, they all have donation button, but addons are not their-hands made

PC graphic is like music, when you play Metallica in bar and sell tickets to hear it, you pay tribute/percent to Metallica

when you play for free - no problem 

 

dozens of Arma mods NEVER EVER had plans to set Paypal, opposite to dozens of Dayz Mods which didn't had SINGLE addon(model, island) made with their hands, so they were collecting money on other person work - it is called piracy when person earn money on non-his made content , thats why i didn't wanted use of my addons in mods that collect donation and servers which collect money and have donor perks 

 

people who make CWR, CSLA, RACS mods get 0 money in few years, they do it for FUN opposite to many dayz mods who first thing that do is set paypal

That is not our deal. The DayZ Mod has not used any of your work and we're not responsible for any other mod, such as Epoch or all the others. Atleast other mods have valid licenses for DayZ...

I know Vilas, it's a much larger issue with the DayZ modding community as a whole which is why I am very pessimistic of what will happen to DayZ once modding is allowed in the future. I appreciate all the work you have put into the ArmA community over many years but when you make a deal with the devil and end up getting burned while Origins make substantial money as a result of yours and others work, there's some great irony in that.

so dozens of Arma mods USE my addons, my models, my textures, reskins of my vehicles, dozens of mods, RACS, CWR2, The Netherland Army mod, Italian Army mod, German Army mod, Marsellie77 addons, Ice Breaker addons such as forces of Duala, Unsung mod about Vietnam War, some Russian army units which use my rifles, US army mod which use my weapons, Swedish army mod which has my vehicle, and dozen mods more liek Brazilian army mod, SLA mod, Nogova mod, they all do it cause they do it FOR FREE, opposite to "other mods which you are not responsible" but which are DayZversum and DayZ hosters such as companies who host different mods and want 20 dollars for start with M16, want 100 dollars from clan per month (dayz hell if i remember correctly) or dayzvalhalla which sell "virtual gold" on Ebay for which you could buy my cars, but you moan on me that i do not want dayz mods to collect money from years of my hard work for Arma community (i didn't even know about dayz when some mods were collecting money using my cars cause i was only focused on Arma military gameplay)

okay this isn't really the point I was trying to bring up...someone stole money from hundreds of people and misled thousands of players for personal profit using a product originally created by Dean Hall and Bohemia, this can't be part of the copyright and if they don't have a valid licence to use the mod, then they CERTAINLY shouldn't be allowed to do so after all this. We all very well know they aren't responsible but the best and\or worst advertising you can get is word of mouth and people always talk more about the negative shit then the positive (just read basically any threads within this forum). This is an amazing game where people have invested countless hours to create and I think it would be a shame to have bad rep because of stories like this that go ignored!

another thing to note, i was told that Origins has money by someone in Nov/Dec 13 (i will not say WHO) so than i was questioning them several times but Martin was saying "it is bullshit, don;t belive them, we do not get any money from server hosting"  so i believed Martin but i stopped developing since then (plus i found another job and i had no more time for Origins like before i had) but from time to time i was asking Martin about any news, he was saying "it is bullshit" till i saw GTX message today, 

i wish to know WHOM was getting those money

so far they not answer any comunicator, on teamspeak i see 5 people chating in other "room" with strange nicks that i do not know like "felix" "tohos" "godwinny"  - i never seen such nicks before especially in room "Origins mod stuff" , other person claims he wrote to Martin and was suddenly blocked on Skype, so Martin should be present on Skype cause ghost do not block contacts , 

i really hope to see documents from GTX that proove those money transfers and who exactly get money , if they were paying me 1000 pounds a month, i would be working 10 hours a day making them dozens of models every month , if this will be true, than question is how to stop them (by hosting company), if this is true, than noone other cheated me like this playing friends for over year
