Redwolf (DayZ) 125 Posted April 2, 2014 The option in the settings doesn't do anything. It's on for everyone.
crazyandlazy 376 Posted April 2, 2014 The option in the settings doesn't do anything. It's on for everyone. Um it's a bar that you can raise and lower to your liking. Not an off and on only option. Check your settings. It does do something.

St. Jimmy 1631 Posted April 2, 2014 The option in the settings doesn't do anything. It's on for everyone. Are you sure? I haven't notice any smoothing, only negative mouse accelration but I haven't ever test with some smoothing.Smoothing could be the dexterity that changes depending on the weapon so I wouldn't wonder if it doesn't have any effect.

St. Jimmy 1631 Posted April 2, 2014 It' doesn't do anything at all. Rocket said so himself. I remember him saying that the Acceleration button doesn't do anything and people got "trolled" by Dean but never anything about the smoothing.

It works. I dialed it all the way down to zero because it mess with the mouse movement and cause dizziness. It' doesn't do anything at all. Rocket said so himself. It works now. Why don't you just try it and get back to me about it.

crazyandlazy 376 Posted April 2, 2014 It does work as stated earlierWell there you go. It works. Just try it cause some of you are mistaking this setting with the on/off thing.
St. Jimmy 1631 Posted April 2, 2014 Yes smoothing should give some delay so when you end your mouse movement the aim still moves a bit. Your movement ends smoothly if you have some of it on but if there isn't any of it your aim stops right when you stop mouse movement.I don't use it myself but it could be welcome addition for heavy weapons if you're standing. M0RG0TH 40 Posted April 2, 2014 Well they need to fix that mouse acceleration into a working option....
St. Jimmy 1631 Posted April 2, 2014 how so?Heavy weapons aren't that presize and they're clunky so that's why. But then the smoothing shouldn't be an option but based on a weapon dexterity. Something like that is coming according to the Dean's latest tweets.

So for instance if you move your mouse fast it will slow down your movement? It would also make you aim/move less accurate?
flygamer1 176 Posted April 2, 2014 Mouse acceleration DOES NOT WORK it's ON for everyone.Mouse smoothing however is a bar you can adjust to your liking

So for instance if you move your mouse fast it will slow down your movement? It would also make you aim/move less accurate?Smoothing makes the mouse movement or direction change smoothly stop/change. I'm not 100% sure does smoothing contain some negative acceleration but I think it doesn't. With smoothing it feels like input delay rather than negative acceleration. Caboose187 (DayZ) 3036 Posted April 3, 2014 Sensitivity all the way down, smoothing all the way up. Controls and the game run smooth as silk for me.
Weedz 1105 Posted April 3, 2014 (edited) Mouse smoothing in the settings. If yes, why?I use it by turning it all the way down so I can pretend like mouse acceleration isn't on. Edited April 3, 2014 by Weedz
