Ok, so it happened again.

i was scouting out around the south western air strip and came across a guy laying in the grass.

I know this area is usually a k.o.s zone but i have the guy the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he was scouting around ready to loot or something.

we spoke for a few minutes and after finding out he was "friendly" we proceeded to make our way to the barracks. It was at that point which we saw which looked like a fresh spawn wearing a gray assault vest and holding a mosin with a bipod mounted.

we checked out the rooms for left loot and made our way in the direction of the tower past the hangers, we saw the person come outside, put his hands up and drop the mosin, 30 seconds passed and i decided that he too was friendly, 2 on the same airfield was wierd but then i herd a bang.

The first person i met had shot the unarmed guy without saying a word and then proceeded to move over for the loot.

Im all for shooting to stay alive but i don't agree with shooting without them having a chance and that's after making me clear it needs to be done.

So i shot him, i wasn't risking anything on a "friendly" who then decided that its easier to shoot than talk.

Anyway, long story short, i now have a pristine lrs aswell as the mosin it belonged to.

i spent 45 minutes running the coast looking for its owner with no luck. Sorry to the guy who got shot in cold blood. but thankyou for my new toy.

It sounds like you got lucky and finding that 'friendly' first and twice lucky not to have been shot by him!

There are a lot of friendly players....when YOU get the drop on THEM. Doesn't reciprocate. Bottom line, unless you know the player outside of the encounter (irl, clan, history) - nobody can be trusted in this game. That's part of the fun...

Even if you are in a clan or playing with friends, this game is capable of sturring up emotions. lol. I love DayZ.

i have got to admit that's one thing I love about the game, the fact their is literally no one to trust and every action you make can be the beginning to an end.
