Deathlove 2286 Posted April 2, 2014 Have you ever seen the Clint Eastwood movie "For a Fistful of Dollars" It's the final duel (last 10 mins) of that film. He proposes finding out who will win when a man with a Winchester goes up against a man with a 45 colt.Naw, i havent seen the movie.
Dchil 829 Posted April 2, 2014 (edited) Naw, i havent seen the movie. It's pretty good you should see it. Along with most of eastwoods other early suff ( For a few dollars more, The good The bad and The ugly and the Dirty Harry series) WARNING: Spoiler contains spoilers of the movie. Why the hell would it be there otherwise? Basically he picks a fight with a guy using a winchester (it's a western) and gets him to expend all his ammo. He then shoots all his buddies and challenges him to pick up his gun (both guns are on the ground and empty now, eastwood threw his and shot the other), load a round and kill him before he can. EDIT: Spoiler because spoilers. Edited April 2, 2014 by Dchil

Dchil 829 Posted April 2, 2014 snipYet another movie i haven't watched, want to, but won't go out of my way to get it. This is not to be confused with the Clint Eastwood Spaghetti western named "The good, The bad and The ugly." with Lee Van Cleef's awesome mustache. (and Lee van Cleef as it's handler). hannibaldaplaya 1095 Posted April 2, 2014 I completely agree. If someone is stalking you with an M4A1 and you're only equipped with a Magnum, you should feel fear and consider your chances of survival extremely minimal.A gun is a gun. It all depends on the situation. You can kill a guy with an M4A1 with a .22 in game AND irl if given the right situation.

Absolutely but if the person is 200 yards away and you only have a pistol. Good luck, be very afraid that is not to say you shouldnt be able to hit them with the pistol , pistols are accurate and can hit at 200 yards problem is that for pistols sway should be pretty extreme since there is no support. It's possible but unlikely. Also who has a better chance of surviving? The idiot who sprays all his ammo wildly or the guy who makes the shots count? EDIT: because videos. gibonez 3633 Posted April 2, 2014 Yeah but i assume most players are NORMAL ppl not pro snipers or gun experts at shooting like this guy is. XDThat's besides the point. A regular person is just as capable of hitting that shot of he aims at the right hold off.

I know they could but i mean you got zombies chasing you id imagine you wouldn't be thinking to straight.

I know they could but i mean you got zombies chasing you id imagine you wouldn't be thinking to straight. That's why suppressing fire is a thing. No need for accuracy at range if you can keep their head down long enough to shoot them at point blank. The shot is possible but my first choice in handguns wouldn't be a snub nose 38 but at least a 44 with a barrel length of 6 inches or more.
Scott61 93 Posted April 2, 2014 (edited) I use the Mosin with LRS,with the Bi-Pod deployed and laying down prone the scopes crosshairs are a lot steadier so it works IMHOBi-Pods have nothing to do with kick I also do not think the kick is all that bad now,and that it has been improved.Compared to a couple patches ago I can now see my kills in my scope while shooting, whereas before the kick use to kick the scope way up in the air so much I would not see my kills and would have to reposition on target to see if I hit or missed. Thats a good video. My only issue with sniping atm is when you have to snipe on lvl ground rather than on a hill where the advantage is obvious. The grass is so damn tall. Girth Brooks 570 Posted April 2, 2014 I own a mosin, and it does NOT kick like Dayz. Not sure where they want the realism to be, but it doesn't kick much harder than smaller rifles. And attaching a LRS like in the game is near impossible, bolt will get in the way. But I will still snipe you through a window with it .

But im sure they will put it back to almost normal once they add in wind changes which i guess is supposed to effect bullets.
Pandema 352 Posted April 2, 2014 I haven't even noticed any kick on the Mosin. Its that god damn reload animation that made me get rid of the rifle in favor of something that lets me see my shots impact, even if I have to sacrifice damage and range.

But still it makes you have to really place those shots where it counts. When i was playing 7D2D. The crossbow had that carzy insane kick to after shooting but they fixed it. The mosin in this game isnt as nearly as bad and is more manageable to an extent.

Scott61 93 Posted April 4, 2014 Ya for sure,I find that also trying to find a spot to look through is tough laying down on the ground prone do to the long grass :D My only issue with sniping atm is when you have to snipe on lvl ground rather than on a hill where the advantage is obvious.
