3 Mosin shots will kill a guy right?

Recommended Posts

So I was on sniper hill in elektro, I heard a shot about 30m to my right flanked around shot the guy two times in the chest and once in the legs while he was running, then he stops turns around and one shots me, seriously doubt it was a headshot, he barley aimed. So my question is, was he a hacker?

Sounds like you missed and he hit.

He was crouching 5 feet away, I hit him, 2 times in the chest with out a doubt. I think I hit his legs because his character made a groaning noise.

Exactly. It seems to me you didn't properly zero your gun, or didn't account for movement. You probably had your zeroing set too high to hit him.

Yep.

The other part is the player you shot could have had a press vest on that protected his chest when you shot. Or books on him, or ballistic helmets in his pockets. Or just about any gear that took the damage allowing him to move, and get a shot on you. You would be surprised how quickly a player who has a lot of experience in this game can kill an adversary regardless of distance or movement. So surprised in fact that you may think his skill was simply hacking. If he was a hacker, you never would have snuck up on him. It would have been the other way around.

I remember checking my zeroing before I fired, it was at 100.

Hmm. I'm not sure then. I saw you mentioned you heard an "ughhh". I know what sound you're referring to, but I don't think players make that sound. I could be wrong though,

I know that, in the mod, injuring a zombie would cause them to make that sound.

Well i know from using the mosin {pretty much 90 percent of the time} its a pretty high hitting round so normally one shot from me...two at a push kills a person. i normally aim for the head and neck area...if i cant get a clear shot i aim for body parts i.e. legs

Its happened countless times whenever a zombie hit my player. On sniper hill there were no zombies around, waited like five minutes after first shot, he fired at least 10 more shots with his mosin, which would of attracted zombies right?

Desync. So bug.

I'd go make a report.

OP, we're you shooting with the iron sights, scope, or hip fire?  You know that the dot in 3rd person and 1st person doesn't really show you where your gun is aiming, right?

Doesn't matter about your  zeroing if you saw him get hit in the chest.

Yeah did you actually see blood/the bullet hit him? If so, he would have taken the damage regardless of any desync. (I believe I read somewhere that hits are determined by the client that is shooting, unless this has changed.)

I can confirm that even after 3 hits you may still be alive. I've killed a player in Cherno with a Mosin, it took me 3 hits to make him unconscious. First hit - I see him bleeding, 2nd hit - more blood, he is in panic, 3rd hit - his is bleeding pretty hard but is still running and is trying to hide. About 10 seconds later he falls on the ground so I assume he went unconscious and died afterwards. So yeah these were 3 direct hits with a Mosin + LRS + Bipod, all pristine.

Not really sure if having items inside your pockets can save you. Check this one out

It may also be the sloping bug, sometimes making bullets hit an invisible wall in front of you if you are positioned on sloping territory (which it sounds like you were).
