Yeah, Chris Torchia gave a teaser of a model, people guessed it was part of the P38, a gun the man himself said he wanted it some time ago. He later confirmed it. You can probably see the exchanges of this on twitter.

 

 

Yeah, I managed to find it in the DevTracker forum. Here it is, looks almost like an exact copy from the one from CoD:WaW but they can't really make the pistol look any different than its real life counterpart xp

  

Only thing I don't get is why they'd put it in the SA since it's a pistol used by the Germans in WW2?  :huh: I'm guessing they're referring to that setting, they ended up in Chernarussia by Germans invading Soviet-Union in WW2...I really don't know why the dev team wants to implement so many WW2 weaponry tough. And if they're gonna implement German guns from that era, I'd rather have another primary: A Modded Kar98K or even an STG-44 :)

FNX45 = high-capacity lots of attachments .45

1911 = low capacity less attachments .45

CZ75 = high-capacity lots of attachments 9mm

P38 = low-capacity less attachments 9mm

It slots nicely into that place the game.

And also because it is a common pistol in Europe, the P38/P1 design was produced from 1938-2000 and is a relatively modern design... 1.2 million P38s and 470,000 P1s.

Yeah these could be weapons that were abandoned by the Germans after the failure of Operation Barbarossa.

Even against a zombie horde a crossbow is useless, what are you gonna do shoot one zombie tell the rest of the zombies to hold on so you can slowly reload and then take them out ?

 

The sound of a .223 coming out of a 20 inch barrel is not that loud shorter the barrel louder the gunshot.

quiver needs to take melee back space

bow needs to be slung across the body so you can still shoulder a rifle

all arrows should be retrieveable and upgradeable.

IIRC, only special sub sonic ammo and/or special internal weapon mechanics can prevent the bullet from breaking the barrier. Only a suppressor (even military grade) doesn't slow the bullet down, so you won't hear the firing of the bullet but the bullet breaking the sound barrier shortly thereafter is definitely audible.

I'm definitely not claiming that suppressors render guns completely silent. It's all about the zombies. They apparently have incredible hearing and rush towards every loud noise they hear. In this game, somehow they'll know where it came from. With proper suppression (so a muzzle velocity below the sound barrier and a (home-made) suppressor) the audible range should drop dramatically and only zombies within 20m should aggro.

so by the look of what everyone saying where 2 expect the cross bow to be a primary and the bow well we no it going to be 2 but where gonna hate it being like that i saw some guys suggest it takes out your melee slot now that i think would be a good i idea and im sure most of us saw the vid with the quiver in the back pack well hopfully they change that im still hoping to see leg holsters or belt holsters they just make so much seance in a game  like this the community will use it more but if there primary weapons we all no they wont be used or enjoyed the way they should so high hopes
