Can't find developer comments on removal of mask + helmet combination

I thought the devs said they removed it temporarily because there was a clipping issue with the combination.

 

New helmet model or new gasmask is said to fix that ?

I'd imagine it has to do with items worn on your head stacking up in terms of blocking damage.

How did you even find this post to necro it back to life? ROFL..

I tried to combine those two items in the game and even though I knew it once worked wondered why it wouldn't work now and looked for some answers. Easy as that.

So this thread is barely a month old and far from being answered or solved and that's necroing to you? You get me into believing you're really a marine. Yet I could bet if I would have opened a new thread for this matter, someone else would have come up saying something like: "there are already tons of threads dealing with this matter".
