So, Mercs for hire?

So, I know this might be the wrong subsection of the forum but I didn't want to post it in recruitment.

 

Has anyone/does anyone know of people who hire themselves out as mercenaries and/or contract hitters? I play almost entirely solo, or with the occasional friend online, but Military life has me busy a lot so I don't have time to commit to a clan, at least not until my deployments are over, but I love the human interaction facet of DayZ, and I pride myself on being a talented player and I'd love to offer protection services to new players/groups, as well as resource gathering and contract kills. The only price would be food/ammunition found on bodies/during searches.

 

Does this sound appealing to experienced players or just plain silly?

I think this might be interesting to some groups who wish a curse on each other.

silly I think is only the way you want to be paid like. that is not the correct relation.
And I wonder how you want to do contract kills.

Say you just died in Elektro to some douchenugget with a sawed off who's just roaming around shooting everything he sees. You come on here, tell me his location and server and in return I get all his loot when he's dead, and anything I want from your body. I'd even be kind enough to give you whatever I didn't want

Well It would work for private servers as in the mod, there was a server I used to play on that had a guy who would offer his services to kill people or just escort them, he got first pick of the loot and would KOS anyone who came near his employer

One time he was also defending a medic with sniper cover so yeah it's a viable option

I'll make a deal with you

You get whatever you want from any bandits that attack, first pick above anyone else

First thing is it's going to be a long haul, 2-3 hours of protecting friendly players and ensuring the area stays bandit free

Doing your best to help keep people alive

And if by somehow no bandits turn up (unlikely though as the server is being announced publicly)

I'll give you my mosin and long range scope at the end as payment or anything else I have on me (providing I don't lose it by getting killed, but if I do there will be other bodies around anyway)

Actually I think I'll give it to you eiether way, as long as you swear to help protect our safe haven event and stick it out

this way, phalanx, you will become pretty poor, considering most of the stuff of the those two bodies will be ruined.

That sounds extremely enticing. The only problems is I'm deployed right now and I wont be back until next month, so if I'm back then I'd gladly join. If not then I can only wish you the best of luck. And you can keep the mosin, I just want the loot.

 

 

I will be a suicide distraction for hire. If you supply me with a .357 I will run out onto an airfield and shoot wildly while screaming and spinning around. This will distract snipers while you loot the airfield.

All this for only an SKS with 10 rounds, a soft beverage and a can of beans.

 

I gave you beans, I'll work on that SKS and rounds though :)
