New player, could use help with a specific issue

Just to confirm, if I am stuck "beneath" a house (aka glitched through basement clipping) the only recourse I have is to

 

1) uninstall and reinstall game

2) wait for starvation

 

If there is any other method I would love to hear it! Have read through the troubleshooting forum and I see some people say you can join a high ping server and mash W to sort of ghost through a wall while your char loads, this does not work for me- char always loads very quickly or possibly I am just failing the execution of it.

 

Apologize if it is considered selfish or a breach of etiquette to post here rather than troubleshooting but seems like you get more eyeballs here and I would very much like to be playing my Hardcore character

green house with a white foundation I assume... you can try running at the wall and vaulting just before you hit - try an exterior wall. its been a while since I was stuck in one of those and it took about half an hour to figure out how to get out of it but I can't for the life of me remember what I did. maybe I'll get myself stuck again and see if I can replicate the solution, and put it to memory this time.

Heya, the key to glitch trough walls is the LAG. So just abuse the lag and keep running, you are out there pretty fast.

 

How to lag:

Switch perspective (1. - 3.)

Move camera around

Equip/unequip stuff

Increase Graphics

 

Or just open some stuff in windows

Just keep running while doing so

Or face wall log out log back in and hold down the W key while your character is loading in

how I used to get out of the floors was double tap w to sprint then just keep hitting v he'll do that little jump or the climb over eventually he'll jump back out. things maybe different now though I havn't fell through a floor in a minute

Log out next to a wall, facing outwards, and then connect to a server where you have at least 80 ping and hold W as you load in. You should be on the other side of the wall. It may take a few tries.

I spammed a random combination of sprinting into / laying prone and sidecrawling against the wall. Which, oddly enough, I had been trying for ten minutes prior to writing the original post but hey, that's dayz right? I will be avoiding that type of house forever in the future, I made a sketch of it and hung it up on the wall right near my homemade map of Chernarus

bravo! eventually none of those nasty clipping issues will exist and we can all forget about our time trapped in the basement of an invisible house - till then, watch the walls and keep track of your methods ;)
