I got shot in the back by someone like you yesterday (joke was on him - all the cool stuff I had was in the backpack). I spawned back on the coast where I ran into a fellow Bambi. We spent the next hour and a half or so together trying to keep our characters from starving to death. I had a ton of fun. Meeting random people and gearing up from the beginning are the most fun with the game in the state that it's in.
