Damnyourdeadman 1045 Posted March 12, 2014 Good idea, but in this stage of the game,it's a too early to elaborate on it.Maybe in the long future ahead, when basic basebuilding is ingame.

cels 43 Posted March 12, 2014 (edited) Before anything.. I want to see something implemented to keep someone from just hopping servers back and forth to get inside of a players built base.. Pretty much making your electric fence idea or even base building altogether, pointless. If you can just go to another server, move 10 feet over, then log back into the original server and be inside the base. Why even bother building a wall to keep anyone out? Edited March 12, 2014 by cels

dalenpalmer 0 Posted May 28, 2014 Is electrical fencing suggestable when compare to wood or other type of fencings.. hail damaged roofroof repair companies

irishroy 1347 Posted May 28, 2014 and if someone touches the fence he will go unconscious How should it be powered? With 9V batteries? Carbatteries? And if I had a powerful battery in an apocalypse, I'd had more important things to use it for (WalkieTalkie, GPS, etc.) than powering an electrical fence. I could see this later on, but I'm not fully convinced.
gannon46 788 Posted May 28, 2014 and if someone touches the fence he will go unconscious nah add they would die because theres no way we could get the power to go into the fencing with out getting rid of the amps and that's what kills voltage means nothing amps are what kills. I messed with a tesla coil that was 125,000 volts and it didn't knock me out or kill me why didn't it hurt me no amps.

ghasteater100 5 Posted May 28, 2014 maybe an electric fence like the one in the walking dead episode 2(video game) that uses a generator that runs on gasoline to power a small fence made out of barbed wire, In dayz, it wouldn't do much to stop players because of people can switch server and move into the base. but maybe if an area is completely sealed off with the electric fence it can stop zombies getting in and spawning. irishroy 1347 Posted May 28, 2014 (edited) Generators guys.If bassebuilding is implemented, aren't they gonna make it ingame as well? Yeah, I understand. But would you really use the gas for powering a fence, instead of driving/powering vehicles?I mean, gas is very rare, since it isn't produced anymore... So being mobile and having a vehicle is much better than securing a fence in an apocalypse, IMO.(But that's just ma opinion, your argument still stands ;) ) Edited May 28, 2014 by irishroy

darksteeljorge 96 Posted May 31, 2014 Na i rather a normal base. actually the H1Z1 base system is good and it would be good in dayz

Pvt_Larry (DayZ) 98 Posted May 31, 2014 I think I'd rather use my limited gasoline to drive a car instead of power a glorified joy-buzzer.

Pretty much making your electric fence idea or even base building altogether, pointless. If you can just go to another server, move 10 feet over, then log back into the original server and be inside the base. Why even bother building a wall to keep anyone out? Completely agree with this! As long as Ghosting is a thing in this game bases hold no importance except you have a place to go to regroup with your team and maybe later down the line have basic storage for few items. Even though its off topic i can understand keeping your gear from one server to the next even though to me it loses some meaning of the respawning to another server but i get it servers get full and you want to keep playing with your character but if you try to log to another server just to ghost you'll just be spawn at a new spawn .... yes off topic but figured it should be addressed since is was brought up .... but beans mate for actually saying something meaningful to a base subject that we've all been thinking about

benedictus 160 Posted June 1, 2014 generator So would the generator noice also attract zombies? Would be easy to clear areas from zombies with it.
