anti-hopping or why it's useless for the moment.

Recommended Posts

Yea, aren't those one of the new buildings? If you can find one untouched, they are usually packed with loot and most always have at least one kind of weapon with matching ammo inside.

no loot respawn is a horrible excuse/reason for server hopping...

One question, when this magical fix everything loot spawn system appears... will it respawn loot every 10 min or something?   Because that is the only way loot respawning could prevent server hopping on its own.

If loot spawns every 10min... I would rather play happy no death lego LOTR with the GF..

Pretty much every server reboots regularly now, there is no reason other then farming end game gear quickly to "server hop" excessively.

i think the anti-hopping is something really good but for the moment it's really shitty for a good reason

this can take 30 minutes just to find the minimum loot ( a magnum and some ammo for exemple)  and i'm not speaking of seeking for loot when it's the rush hour (where i live it begin at 16H)

So the anti hooping is a great idea but is really boring for this moment

Your OP proves that it must be working at least a little bit....

Fact: on any given weeknight, there are about 12-20 full servers total.

The majority of the rest have between 1-9 players on them. I think that says a lot about how people play Dayz..

..they prefer to feel safe and cozy with tons of loot.

I agree completely.

However I do still have reservations about Early Access.

For instance we get no guarantee that our game will be finished. That it will wind up how we pictured it would be when we bought it. We cannot foresee whether the development company will pull the plug on the project or not. Its wide open to scams.

Whilst I agree that we should come to expect buggy unfinished products when we buy into an Early Access title, however there are many things that may happen that we do not expect. Of course I'm not saying DayZ will go down this route, but I think in general people are too willing to part with their cash for something unfinished with little to no guarantee that it will be anything other than that when it comes to games.

Early access alpha is just that, Games can change completely from alpha to beta. Most gamers know this and if they decide to buy it, so be it, they know what the risks are.

But I just dont feel sorry for the whiners that buy things like a blind idiot, then whine when its exactly what bohemia said it was, an early access alpha. If you dont want to test an alpha then dont buy it, if you want a finished game then wait and buy it when its finished so you know what you are getting with the finished game.

I dont understand why anyone with an average intelligence wouldnt understand what they are getting into. Its all clearly stated when you buy the game and there are plenty of devblogs and videos to look through.

you sir are a nob end

it should take you significantly longer than 30 minutes to loot up. basic loot is rags and food/drink and maybe melee..not magnums lol.

as it stands right now, they are working on a loot mechanic like the mod. it is performance issue atm, this is the reason we didnt have re-spawning zombies.

and why we dont have re-spawning loot.

your topic has been posted several times

so why the fuck do you spend time responding? simply no logic!

this game isnt meant to be played

its meant to be tested

so sure, whats in place now is kind of bad

but its also probably going to change

honestly ive stopped playing the stand alone because there is literally nothing to do but gear up and die, and i dont feel like actually 'testing' the game

I've found m4's in other places besides military bases. If you use the map online it's actually places with big yellow circles. Not even red which is supposed to be weapons. And they were on shelves so it wasn't someone dropping an extra gun or the other bs you can think of, unless you know how to put items on shelves now. Also to the op you just sound bad. I can start as a fresh spawn and have almost full gear WITHOUT server hopping in under 30 minutes. Am I going to tell you how, hell no. But like some people have ready said. Don't run to the airports or military bases and expect them not to be looted. That's the first place nubs usually go.

Oh the game will be finished. After the sales they made from Arma2 from the mod and now the SA, they've made millions.
