JPWiser 251 Posted March 11, 2014 Is it just me or is bleeding not working right now? Ive taken multiple zombie hits and never bleed anymore. On top of it I shot someone in the chest and leg with an m4 from 150 meters and he wasnt bleeding just blurry. I would check the bug page if i didnt have to remove my account from the insane spam I was gettin awhile back.

Sistinas1973 50 Posted March 11, 2014 I know on stable, bleeding in often rare from zombie attacks. I've been playing on experimental for the past week and It seems to be a 90/10 chance you will get "bleeding" if a zombie gets a hit on you. I've died a lot from that shit before I was able to get an ax or firearm. Lately I've been stocking up on bandages more than food/drink because of it.
Black Dynamite 75 Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) When damage is reduced by clothing/items taking the hit you generally will not bleed. This is intentional, just not well refined yet.EDIT: As of 0.34, I should add. Edited March 11, 2014 by Black Dynamite

So the idea is your gear will prevent you from bleeding up to a certain point? I figured the zombies causing bleeding had been reduced drastically but when I shot someone and for surely hit them (ruiened his vest and pants) without causing bleeding it seemed cause for alarm. You don't need to log in to view the bug tracker. Thanks, I should rephrase that "After my poor experience with the bug tracker, I refuse to open it" And after a forum search using keyword "Bleeding" with nothing coming up I figured it deserved a topic. I noticed that I still bleed if I take a hit or GSW as a freshspawn, but very rarely if I'm fully geared.

We killed 7 zombies (axes) and afterwards we all were bleeding. We used our shirts. Next 3 zombies: No rags left. 3 more zombies: All of us dead (from blleeding)... :(
GrappleX 354 Posted March 11, 2014 Yep, 4 out of 5 zombie hits on experimental will make me bleed.
deus_drone 98 Posted March 11, 2014 OK The Bleeding works like this. When you start (new Character) your character is starving and thirsty. If you are hit in this period it is 50/50 if you will bleed. When you eat and drink to the point where you are deemed healthy that percentage drops drastically (I duno how much by)I have tested this very thoroughly just running around doing some PVE and generally messing around. So when you are healthy it is very difficult to make you bleed by a zombie.A bullet however is a different story.
LouisK 85 Posted March 11, 2014 Even if fully geared with protective vests you will bleed most of the times by any zombie hit, this was a recent addition as it did not happen in early patches, where you were almost invincible from zombie hits. I was stalking a player earlier and zombies kept spawning out of nowhere, hit me once and bleeding, had to stop, kill the zombie, bandage to keep going on, only to have to do it again a few minutes later from the same situation; i'd rather see it toned down a bit, or increase clothes damage vs protectiveness since it doesn't have much sense to start bleeding without having a scratch in your clothes :P
