wild_man 4442 Posted March 11, 2014 super mario on the real consoles. wha??? can you put picture explain what is meaning??? ;) you mean 2D = 2pp? :|
applejaxc 2500 Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) Whoever said 2PP = 2D isn't a very bright chap. Most likely the 2PP you heard of is "Over the shoulder" view, where you are looking right over your shoulder; your shoulder, head, and weapon are visible, but you can't see much more of yourself, as opposed to 3PP when you can see most of your body from behind. It could also mean you see your character through the eyes of something else. For example, in Pyschonaughts (one of the greatest games EVER of all time ever) you have to use the night vision view of a security camera to navigate through a dark room. There is also a boss fight in which (if I remember correctly) you're chasing a monster (thus running "towards" the camera) and using the monster's view to see what you have to dodge. (I got this from Googling. Made enough sense to include it) Edited March 11, 2014 by Applejaxc
Valadain 270 Posted March 11, 2014 No, second person is if you only saw your character through the eyes of another character. It doesn't make much sense in a game.
odin_lowe 3686 Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) When you look at your character from someone else's perspective. 1pp: you are the perspective 2pp: someone else's perspective 3pp: overhead/over the shoulder/"god's" perspective... :P Edit: Valadain beat me to it. What he said basically. Edited March 11, 2014 by Odin Lowe

Disgraced 1123 Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) Fourth person view: seeing your character through the eyes of a character watching another character entirelyFifth person view: you see your character from over the shoulder of a random stranger abiding by a restraining order keeping him 50 yards from your character's locationSixth person view: you see your character from Bruce Willis' perspective in the Sixth Sense.Edit:Non person view: play the game from the perspective of a character that actively refuses to look at your character. crimsonbzd 247 Posted March 11, 2014 everybody know what is 1st person 1pp and 3rd person 3pp :| but what in fuck is 2nd person view 2pp? technically, 2nd person is a perspective you cannot have. someone is seeing you in the second person. you could see yourself in the second person if you were watching a stream of someone who was looking at you. Valadain 270 Posted March 11, 2014 technically, 2nd person is a perspective you cannot have. someone is seeing you in the second person. you could see yourself in the second person if you were watching a stream of someone who was looking at you. Technically, a person can only experience first person themselves, but we aren't talking about that. We are talking about game/literary mechanics. First Person: I went to the store.Second Person: You went to the store.Third Person: Valadain went to the store.Fourth or Zero Person: One goes to the store. Valadain 270 Posted March 11, 2014 2nd person is used in directions, telling you how, when, where, etc to do something. Can't really be used in stories or games. Choose your own adventure books are generally 2nd person.
Korsbaek 1778 Posted March 11, 2014 2nd person is used in directions, telling you how, when, where, etc to do something. Can't really be used in stories or games. I say it could be used in games. You would be seeing your character through the eyes of another character.
