Honestly, everybody is whining about the "play fair join a busy server". They pay for their own server, they gear up trough looting and not by teleporting so walking is the same. They aren't hacking. Rather see people whine about those speedhackers,wallhackers and infinite health hackers then about a Private server. How hard is it to not join a server when requested in the title, maybe not with kick or ban, but some even say please do not enter. Which I personally agree on. 

They rent it, okay they have to follow those rules. Though as stated before. 

As long as they don't hack, I don't see a problem with gearing up and enjoying the game with some PvP, most PvP is in the stock areas like electro and airfields, and some in kamy. 
Rather search for another server, if it is bothering you, then whine about it. 

Be glad people are doing this instead of hacking, makes my day at least happier. Especially with the speed and teleport hacks lately.

Many of you are honestly no better than spoiled children who have too much disposable income. Id be a touch more concerned if there was more to do than loot a mosin, an attachment, clothes and food.

 

I mean without tents even server hoppers dont mean a shit at the moment cause no one can really horde loot.

 

Once vehicles and tents are involved that changes things a bit as I would hate to spend hours or days fixin up a vehicle when someone can just chain restart their server and get what he needs that way.

 

I think its a valid concern however cannot be an important issue at the moment when there is hacking and gameplay issues still to be dealt with.

 

Also getting upset that it is currently a gamebreaking issue that some people are able to loot faster seems like a drastic reaction, considering I can join a low pop server and run around for an hour or two and have almost everything the game can offer me at the moment.

Private servers doesnt exists - Its not PRIVATE when you are renting it from a server host.

It doesent really cost much, 90$ for a 40 slots server. AND the only thing you can do is Restart, Kick, and controll the time of the day. Ofcourse you can rename the server, just not use the words like kick or clan etc.

But its still not PRIVATE, ok? Our crew had a few servers for 2-3months now - none have been taken down yet. And yes, we only use it for farming gear, and occanionally kick some players.

First it's bullshit that they are getting away with it, I'm guessing villayer are more concerned with keeping their customers then enforcing their rules.  For as often as this seems to be happening I feel it is time for BIS to take some steps in resolving issues if a hosting service refuses to abide by the rules laid out.
 
Second it's a rented server it's still connected to the public hive and until BIS are ready to create a separate hive, which from my guess will be post-beta, then this is people paying to exploit the system and gain an advantage similar to paying to win.  This is an early access alpha and people who skew the systems in place or create an unbalanced playing environment make it harder for the dev team to effectively balance the game because the variables keep changing.  I'm guessing this is why the rules where put in place in the first place.
 

Thirdly the players who are doing this obviously don't have the skill to handle a public server and need to be in an environment devoid of other players in order to be *cough* "good" When they switch back to the true public servers they more or less function as a gun delivery service for the more skilled players.

 

Finally I would like to think that when loot spawning make's it's way into the game this kind of behavior will be punished in the sense that the server would be "okay no players, spawn base loot", "oh there we go 2 joined, still good no need to spawn yet"  "Sweet another 10 joined, lets spawn a few more guns etc" "what this server is over half full?! Time to spawn a M4!!" or something like that so only players on more populated servers would actually have a chance of getting the high end guns.

You're paying $70 a month to help them test the stable branches and gameplay for what equals a very very low scaled advantage. All it does is Shave off time to be as looted as the next guy who'll shoot at him.

They're also denying themselves of a great feeling when they find or kill what they get.

 

Case in point: Running around on experimental man was it hard to find anything.  But when you find that ammo or gun you're looking for you feel a bit of victory.

I hate the public server because of multiple reasons.

 

I want to play this game with my friends and nobody else, people who bought public servers are idiots.

If you rent a server for DayZ you are basically wasting money for Stalin.

 

You can't kick, lock etc etc. But seeing we don't have an option for private, people are now making illegal private servers with illegal copies of Dayz.

And for once, I can agree with those who do.

 

Sure some might like the public server stuff, but some DON'T.

I bought this game, in the hopes they would put private soon, don't give me the crap with "It's alpha"

 

There are a lot of other games in Alpha who did not forget to make the private servers an option.

But seeing DayZ probably gets a cut of the money that is wasted in public servers, private servers will probably not come any day soon, because money is more important than the people.

 

DayZ and Rocket were epic imho, the mod was great... But the standalone looks like a cashgrab at the moment.

Yes, TOS says you have to have certain language in your server name, and that you cannot kick players except for specific conditions. The server I referenced above has actually just changed their name to "Maintenance Join = Kick" to prevent people from joining. There is no maintenance. They are looting up and getting a massive advantage over other people.

Not to mention how wimpy they are. I'm gonna bet your ass that they don't even know how to use the stuff they get. Running from bullets in Balota on a full server at 8:00 will make you a 10x better player than someone who loots on their "private" server.

It isnt legal to reset the server upon a death to save face or prevent your gear from being looted, its in the TOS right along with you being able to kick anyone for being abusive or anything of the innapropriate nature.  However you lost me about the "take it back 30 seconds part" that doesnt make sense.
