This is the real-life radio station, abandoned, as they have moved it to some other secret place.

Still noone knows what the "buzzer" is  used for.

I find this pretty Dayz-ish.

It's a Numbers Station. They're everywhere and they creep the fuck out of me. Green Mountain is a Numbers Station, and it's cursed.

Any news about the team which found the radio station in the pictures?

They're probably all dead from a similar curse that Green Mountain has.

That place still broadcasts despite the fact it's been abandoned for 30+ years

This is already part of Chernarus, it's called Green Mountain. Chernarus is based on a real country.

I am putting so many of these fantastic structures in to my map... The possibilities for bouncing messages off the virtual Ionosphere are endless... :)

So, I followed the link and then found the radio feed. Listened for about ten minutes. I now speak fluent Russian and have a distaste for capitalism... Is that normal?

Shit. Just read about number stations. Creepy as hell, as I heard that normally it uses voices of a woman, and sometimes the voices of a child or man.

Не обращайте внимания на станции цифры, они ничего не значат.

Nah, never played it. Wait, is it the game Quake or that religious thingy? If it's the religious thing then no. I'm an atheist.

I got "Ignore the station numbers, they mean nothing." on Google translate on Russian.

I forgot to mention something else. Most people don't know why it is that number's stations exist. I'm not sure about all the random frequencies out there. But I do know that most numbers stations are listing off information connected to various one-time pads. It's basically how spies can safely communicate to each other. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One-time_pad

I think yours is more accurate, "cifra" can mean couple of things , code and number
