Zjasuu 337 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) So after you implemented catching rain into water bottles I thought it would be nice if you could catch rain water into things like empty bean cans and cooking pots. It would be cool if you could make a clothesline from a rope and a pair of sticks to hang your wet clothes on, eh? /Egit: was supposed to post in suggestions, someone move it? antonioajc 500 Posted March 11, 2014 I actually want empty cans to stay on the world. Maybe give them a despawn timer of 15-30 minutes.

Leo Balzac 190 Posted March 11, 2014 -should be able to tie up a pant hem to gather rain as well.-Craft a moss and bark 'basket' to transport coals so you can light a fire when needed without matches (coals would die out after a set amount of time)-2 sticks and a shoe lace should also be craft-able into a fire bow-A pine needle rubbed on your silk undies and placed in a small pool of water should indicate magnetic north the list goes on and on.
hypermoon 75 Posted March 11, 2014 It could be pretty cool to track people if empty cans etc. stayed on the ground. Also would be sweet if you could could set up a trip wire, that you've attached empty cans of tuna and beans to so it rattles and alerts you when something steps through it. Definitely a must have, otherwise turning a building into a house will be pointless since anyone can just walk in and you wont even know it. I'll bring the shotgun, lime, and shovel. Wait! Chocolate. doctorbadsign 645 Posted March 18, 2014 Rope + empty cans + sticks = A zombie/bandit detection fence I'd love to see them take crafting to these kinds of levels
TOPMO3 119 Posted March 18, 2014 I actually want empty cans to stay on the world. Maybe give them a despawn timer of 15-30 minutes. Not sure if you've played the mod or not, but empty cans were very useful back when the zombies were deadly. You would throw the can and it would create a noise as it landed, the zombie would move to investigate, and you would sneak past it. Very useful just when starting out, when you had no way to defend yourself against zombies that 5-6 hit killed you.

I also want the windows back on the hospital so I have to throw my empty can at it to break the window to get in.
solodude23 649 Posted March 19, 2014 Good suggestions. I also hope they take the rain catching another step and make it so you can put it down and let it fill up until you pick it up, rather than filling it by 1% at a time. That is, unless I'm missing something.
pillock 850 Posted March 19, 2014 I want empty cans back period. I also want the windows back on the hospital so I have to throw my empty can at it to break the window to get in. I'm not entirely convinced that windows should be breakable by throwing empty cans at them. Full cans, maybe. Or if you could fill an empty can with dirt first. But empty cans couldn't break a window unless the glass had been replaced with single-ply tissue paper.
cels 43 Posted March 19, 2014 It could be pretty cool to track people if empty cans etc. stayed on the ground. Off topic sorta... Im pretty sure it was said that foot prints would be noticeable on some terrain.. I think

I can't remember if we could throw rock at the windows or not. I know you could shoot them but it was risky but I am pretty sure you could break the glass in the mod with a can. Should it is debatable on how much realism you want
hombrecz 832 Posted March 19, 2014 I actually want empty cans to stay on the world. Maybe give them a despawn timer of 15-30 minutes. I agree but only if it would not put strain on the server.Would be cool to track people by trash they leave behind. Also to find killed and butchered animals....maybe even be able to see blood stains where wounded player or animal went.
